20130186320 | SAIL APPARATUS AND EXTENDIBLE MEMBER SUITABLE FOR USE IN THE SAIL APPARATUS - There is discussed a sail apparatus having a sail with one or more battens. A furling system varies the area of deployed sail between a furled state and an unfurled state by rotating the sail about the leading edge. At least one batten comprises a single extendible sheet member operable to switch between a rigid three-dimensional longitudinal state and a coiled planar state, such that a deployed portion of said at least one batten is in said rigid, three-dimensional longitudinal state and a furled portion of said at least one batten is in a coiled planar state. The batten is resiliently baised towards the leading edge of the sail, while allowing movement of the batten towards the trailing edge of the sail during furling. | 07-25-2013 |

20100060171 | Method and Apparatus for Maintaining Constant Color Temperature of a Fluorescent Lamp - A system to allow a fluorescent lamp to be dimmed or otherwise improve color performance of the lamp while maintaining a constant spectral distribution. In one embodiment, the lamp will dim in light output and not shift in color temperature. An LED array is positioned under a fluorescent lamp such that its light injects back into the lamp that part of the color spectrum that diminishes as a fluorescent lamp dims. The LED array is positioned centrally along the underside of the lamp. The light from the LED is never directly visible but shines through the lamp; the lamp acting as a diffuser. The brightness level of the LEDs can be determined as a preset level relative to a predetermined dim setting or can be regulated through an electronic monitoring sensor. The monitoring could evaluate the shift in color spectrum and or intensity and render the appropriate injection of light spectrum to maintain a constant unwavering color temperature. | 03-11-2010 |

20140332001 | BREATHABLE GAS APPARATUS WITH HUMIDIFIER - A humidifier has a base unit with an engagement face that is configured to interface with a flow generator. The humidifier also has a tank configured to be removably received by the base unit and hold a volume of liquid. The tank has a side wall with an air inlet. The humidifier further has an air flow passage configured to receive an air connector of the flow generator at the engagement face of the base unit. The air flow passage is axially offset from a tank inlet. In addition, a cross-section of the airflow passage inlet and a cross-section of the tank air inlet are substantially perpendicular to a horizontal plane. | 11-13-2014 |
