20090275808 | INTEGRATED PATIENT BED SYSTEM - The present invention includes an integrated system and methods for patient treatment, the system includes a hospital bed; a plurality of patient diagnostic and treatment devices connected to a network, wherein each of the devices can communicate to a network and exchange information with the network about the care of a patient; and a processor accessible adjacent to the bed and connected to the network to integrate information obtained from the devices through the network with one or more additional sources of information databases, wherein the processor can communicate to one or more patient treatment devices either directly or via the network and the processor directs the one or more patient treatment devices to change the treatment of the patient. | 11-05-2009 |
20090275841 | MULTI-WAVELENGTH DIAGNOSTIC IMAGER - The present invention is a multi-wavelength diagnostic imager. In one embodiment, the present invention includes an apparatus and method for noninvasive evaluation of a target versus a non-target, comprising: one or more light sources having at least one emission spectra directed at the target wherein the position, orientation and intensity of light sources is varied to control near-surface reflectance and are directed at less than the entire target; and one or more detectors positioned to capture light reflected from the target into two or more spatial images of the target at two or more times, wherein the spatial images are used to distinguish between the target and the non-target. | 11-05-2009 |

20120046706 | EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR - An external defibrillator estimates the phase of ventricular defibrillation (VF) by deriving, from an ECG exhibiting VF, at least one quality marker representing the morphology of the ECG and, therefore, the duration of the VF. The duration of the VF is calculated as a function of the value (s) of the quality marker (s). The quality marker (s) may comprise any one or more of the median slope of the ECG, the average slope of the ECG, the ratio of the power in relatively high and low frequency bands of the ECG, and a measure of the density and amplitude of peaks in the ECG, over a predetermined period. | 02-23-2012 |

20120325854 | DISPENSING DEVICE HAVING AN ARRAY OF LATERALLY SPACED TUBES - A device for dispensing individual components of a two-component adhesive includes first and second manifold members, each having a distribution chamber therein. A set of conveying tubes is supported within the dispensing device and collectively present a predetermined total cross-sectional flow area to the first distribution chamber. An array of openings and an array of passages extend through the second member. The openings receive the discharge ends of the conveying tubes. The passages are disposed in fluid communication with the second distribution chamber. The passages collectively present a predetermined total cross-sectional flow area to the second distribution chamber member. The openings and the passages are laterally spaced with respect to each other such that the discharge ends of the tubes are interspersed among the passages. The cross-sectional flow areas presented to the first and second distribution chambers are different. | 12-27-2012 |
20130020352 | DISPENSING DEVICE HAVING AN ARRAY OF CONCENTRIC TUBES - A device for dispensing individual components of a two-component adhesive includes first and second manifold members, each having a distribution chamber therein. A set of conveying tubes is supported within the dispensing device and collectively present a predetermined total cross-sectional flow area to the first distribution chamber. The second manifold member has an array of passages therethrough. Each tube extends substantially concentrically through a respective passage to define annular flow spaces that collectively present a predetermined total cross-sectional flow area to the second distribution chamber member. First and second components emanating from the tubes and the flow spaces are able to intermix with and diffuse into each other on the discharge area of the second manifold member. The cross-sectional flow areas presented to the first and second distribution chambers are equal. | 01-24-2013 |
