20150240988 | Theft resistant upstanding mount for temporary positioning of costly equipment at unattended outdoor locations - Theft resistant upstanding mounts adjustably support at temporary, often unattended outdoor locations, such costly devices as compact, wireless electronic devices that control such excavation machinery as bulldozers and road graders. Each mount is connectable to or includes a massive base structure, and includes an upstanding, telescopically extensible mast. Lockable connections are provided between many components of the mount. A lockable, swivel connection provided between the mast and a costly device supported atop the mast permits leveling of the costly device for proper operation even if a longitudinal axis of the upstanding mast deviates significantly from true vertical. A protective cover locked to the mast assembly denies access to a control knob that might otherwise be used to detach the costly device from the mast. | 08-27-2015 |
20150292226 | Theft resistant upstanding mount for temporary positioning of costly equipment at unattended outdoor locations - Costly devices are supported atop telescopically extensible masts of theft resistant mounts well suited to be positioned at temporary, often unattended, outdoor locations. An upper component of each mast carries a torque-disconnect coupler that has two relatively turnable elements, including one fixed to the mast, and another that defines a threaded formation extending along an upstanding axis about which the elements are relatively turnable. A costly device can be tightened to the threaded formation, or can be loosened and removed therefrom—but only when an elongate key-like tool is inserted into aligned passages of the two elements to prevent turning of the threaded formation so a costly device tightened onto the formation can be threaded off of the formation. A shroud cloaks the torque-disconnect coupler and has an opening through which the tool must pass to reach the aligned passages. | 10-15-2015 |

20090112312 | Intravascular ventricular assist device - One aspect of an intravascular ventricular assist device is an implantable blood pump where the pump includes a housing defining a bore having an axis, one or more rotors disposed within the bore, each rotor including a plurality of magnetic poles, and one or more stators surrounding the bore for providing a magnetic field within the bore to induce rotation of each of the one or more rotors. Another aspect of the invention includes methods of providing cardiac assistance to a mammalian subject as, for example, a human. Further aspects of the invention include rotor bodies having helical channels formed longitudinally along the length of the body of the rotor where each helical channel is formed between peripheral support surface areas facing radially outwardly and extending generally in circumferential directions around the rotational axis of the rotor. | 04-30-2009 |

20150205615 | WEB-BASED RECORDER CONFIGURATION UTILITY - A method and system for identifying a data recorder based upon a unique signature generated for the data recorder. Configuration information is received, the information specifying a plurality of data recording input parameters which are selected to facilitate use of the data recorder in a particular data recording application. A unique signature is generated according for the data recorder, the unique signature including a code which uniquely identifies the data recorder based on a transformation of the configuration information. The unique signature is stored for subsequent access or reference. To differentiate between similar makes and models of data recorders, at least a portion of the unique signature includes a unique core part number that is assigned to only one data recorder by, for example, the manufacturer of the data recorder. | 07-23-2015 |
