The adjusting device also includes a motor unit that is operatively connected to the threaded spindle. An adjusting device and a seat base frame for motor vehicle seats with an adjusting device that transmits forces that occur in the event of a crash to the required degree are provided. A reinforcing element is provided in the gearbox housing such that said element is suitable for receiving forces that act in the longitudinal axial direction of the threaded spindle in the event of a crash. | 08-08-2013 |
20140026391 | METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SPINDLE DRIVE OF AN ADJUSTMENT DEVICE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT - In the method for producing a spindle drive of an adjustment device of a motor vehicle seat, the adjustment device comprises a spindle and a nut unit. The nut unit comprises a nut made from plastic and a retainer in which the nut is retained. The nut has an internal thread which is in engagement with the spindle and has recesses in its outer jacket. The method comprises the following steps: the tube section is pushed over the nut during assembly, the nut is located within the tube section, the tube section, in the areas in which the recesses of the nut are located, is deformed into the area of the recesses and a portion of material of the tube section is located in the recesses. | 01-30-2014 |

20100159791 | Method for introducing an accurately dosable amount of mercury - A method for introducing an accurately dosable amount of mercury into the discharge vessel of a fluorescent lamp, wherein both sides of the discharge vessel are connected to a lamp receptacle; and the discharge vessel is charged with a gas stream via the lamp receptacle and is filled, with a predetermined amount of mercury. During or after dosing the amount of mercury to be introduced, the mercury is brought in a dosed volume in the form of a single, coalescing drop, then the entire amount of mercury to be introduced is transported into the discharge vessel, while still maintaining the previously formed drop. A change-over mechanism guides the gas stream past the drop via a bypass channel and blocks the bypass channel such that while the bypass channel is blocked, the gas stream is guided over the dosed volume and drags the drop along with it into the discharge vessel. | 06-24-2010 |

20120148926 | FUEL CELL DEHUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD - A system and method for dehumidifying a fuel cell are provided. The system includes a fuel cell having an anode chamber and a cathode chamber. After the fuel cell is shutdown, water vapor may linger within the anode and cathode chambers. The system includes dehumidifier source containing a hygroscopic hydrolyzing chemical, such as sodium silica gel or sodium silicide. The dehumidifier source is operatively connected in selective fluid communication with the anode chamber. When the fuel cell is shutdown, air can be prevented from entering the anode chamber, and fluid communication between the dehumidifier source and the anode chamber is permitted such that the hygroscopic hydrolyzing chemical reacts with water vapor in the anode chamber to produce hydrogen. Hydrogen can be used to pressurize the anode and cathode chambers and to purge the anode chamber of contaminants and water vapor during fuel cell shutdown. The system can prolong the operational life of the fuel cell. | 06-14-2012 |

20090086025 | CAMERA SYSTEM - A remote surveillance system (the system) of the present invention is designed to have a long independent operation, portability, and wireless transmission of digital data from any location worldwide. The system includes a hybrid power element having novel hydrogen storage and generation device, light weight polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell, and the low power and low weight electronics. The system also includes multiple day/night cameras, motion detector, global positioning system (GPS), and wireless module. The system is packed in a back pack case and is easily carried between multiple locations due to low weight and compacts size. | 04-02-2009 |
20090123784 | FUEL CELL MODULE - The invention relates to the design and manufacturing of a symmetrical polymer electrolyte fuel cell (the cell module) having two cells arranged in mirror symmetry with respect to a central plane of a non conductive fuel manifold. The symmetrical dual cell configuration allows application of adhesive seals for the innermost fuel electrodes. These seals are formed by gluing two membrane electrode assemblies to the opposing faces of the central manifold. The cell module employed as an array of individual modules, or combined into planar or stacked fuel cell configurations. | 05-14-2009 |
20100196242 | HYDROGEN PRODUCTION FROM BOROHYDRIDES AND GLYCEROL - A method of forming hydrogen gas comprises the steps of providing a reactor and providing a hydrogen-generating composition to the reactor. The hydrogen-generating composition consists essentially of a borohydride component and a glycerol component. The borohydride, e.g. sodium borohydride, and glycerol components are present in a generally three (3) to four (4) stoichiometric ratio, prior to reaction. The borohydride component has hydrogen atoms and the glycerol component has hydroxyl groups with hydrogen atoms. The method further comprises the step of reacting the borohydride component with the glycerol component thereby converting substantially all of the hydrogen atoms present in the borohydride component and substantially all of the hydrogen atoms present in the hydroxyl groups of the glycerol component to form the hydrogen gas. The reaction between the borohydride component and the glycerol component is an alcoholysis reaction. Reactors and reaction systems employing the method of the present invention are also described. | 08-05-2010 |
20110097643 | INTEGRATED PEM FUEL CELL - An integrated PEM fuel cell includes bipolar plate assemblies that utilize fiber groups that extend from the surfaces of gas impermeable plates to terminate in uncoated tips facing adjacent tips to form anodes and cathodes of an MEA assembly. The catalyst support and catalyst can be applied to the tips as beads or thin layers and joined with a membrane. The assembly can use a unified seal and include collector plates at the ends of the stacks, using similar fiber construction. | 04-28-2011 |
