| 20080307654 | Electric Razor - An electric razor includes an actuator, an outer cutter and an inner cutter. The actuator has a first vibrator and a second vibrator. The outer cutter and the inner cutter are respectively supported at the first vibrator and the second vibrator so that the cutters can slide against each other. The actuator vibrates the first vibrator and the second vibrator so that the vibrators slide in reciprocation toward opposite directions to each other. Even though vibration of the first vibrator is interrupted by external force through the outer cutter, the second vibrator relatively vibrates so as to slide in reciprocation with respect to the first vibrator and therefore it is easy to meet specified shaving performance. | 2008-12-18 |

The lever frame is mounted through the hilt and has a front connector that abuts the proximal end of the blade to rotate the blade, and a rear connector. The spring is mounted inside the hilt and connects the hilt to the rear connector of the lever frame and eases opening of the blade and prevents the blade from opening. Because the spring is mounted in the hilt, the knife is thinner than prior art and therefore more convenient. | 2008-12-18 |
| 20080307657 | Ratcheting hand tool with easily replaceable cutting blade - A hand-held and hand-operated cutting tool particularly well suited for cleanly and quickly cutting plastic pipe or tubing, rubber hose, or the like is provided. The tool has a blade which is easily manually removed from and replaced into the cutting tool without the use of additional tools. The blade is slid into the tool and then rotated slightly into an initial operating or loaded position whereat a blade pivot pin may be inserted into the tool and through a hole provided in the blade. During use, the blade is rotatable in increments or steps from a retracted position in which it is substantially enclosed within the tool housing to a cut off position in which it cooperates with a stationary cradle anvil so as to sever the article to be cut. A ratchet drive interconnects a movable handle and the blade so as to incrementally drive the blade towards its cut off position upon manipulation of the handle. Upon severing of the article, the blade is readily returned to its retracted position by, for example, spreading apart the tool handles. | 2008-12-18 |
| 20080307658 | Scissors with a blade having a tapered center for hinge - A scissors is provided. The scissors according to current application has a specially designed first blade. The specially designed first blade has a tapered bump at the central part, on which a hinge hole is developed. The tapered bump on the first blade allow the second blade of the scissors to cross over the first blade with an angle. Therefore, the second blade's wide edge crosses over the first blade's wide edge with an angle and sweeps wide surface of the first blade with an angle. Such angled cross over of the blades provides a more precise cut of customer's hair as a barber intended. | 2008-12-18 |

The can holder has an opening that has a diameter greater than the diameter of the sides and lesser than the diameter of the rim, so that when the can is placed in the opening the can holder supports it by its rim. The arm extends over the opening and is attached to the can holder. The screw is centered on the longitudinal axis and threadedly engages the arm. The lower end of the screw is fixed to the head, which has a diameter that is less than the diameter of the lid. The cutters are attached to the head and are positioned near the periphery of the lid, for cutting the lid off the can. Rotating the screw rotates the cutters, cutting off the lid and pressing the head against the lid to force the liquid out from under the lid. | 2008-12-18 |

| 20080307662 | Method for Scanning a Surface with the Aid of a Coordinate Measuring Machine and Coordinate Measuring Machine - A method for scanning a work piece surface uses a coordinate measurement device. A probe element is brought into contact with the surface and the probe element is moved along the surface. The coordinate measurement device has a plurality of degrees of freedom, which are independent of one another, in the possible movements of the probe element with respect to the work piece. Maximum speeds which describe the maximum of a movement speed component of the probe element based on the respective degree of freedom are defined for the degrees of freedom. An estimated path on which the probe element is intended to move during scanning is predefined. The actual scanning path can differ from the estimated scanning path. A maximum scanning speed at which the estimated scanning path can be traveled with a constant speed of the probe element is determined. | 2008-12-18 |

The extension protrudes laterally out from the side of the shoe and has a substantial horizontal component, with an outer surface portion(s) adapted in shape, size, and/or placement so that said portion(s) will impact the floor/ground upon inversion of the foot/ankle but that none of the extension impacts, rubs, slides, or otherwise contacts the ground/floor during normal activities of the wearer. Said impact/contact only occurs when there is significant ankle/foot inversion, that is, enough to potentially cause a mild lateral ankle sprain. The preferred extension cushions and/or stops inversion at an angle of inversion and/or at a time during the inversion wherein the wearer may recover and straighten his foot/ankle before serious injury to the ankle. | 2008-12-18 |
| 20080307675 | Heel Stabilizer - The present invention relates to heel stabilizing technology that can be used on many kinds of footwear. This heel stabilizing technology can be incorporated during manufacture of the footwear. This heel stabilizing technology can also be manufactured as a separate component, and then added to many kinds of footwear. The heel stabilizer of the present invention increases the stability of the wearer when walking by minimizing the side-to-side teetering a person experiences when wearing flat heels to any height heel shoe, sneakers, boot, overshoe, galoshes or any combination thereof. Implementation of the heel stabilizing technology results in the heel of the footwear being set to a raised position and then flexed downward at heel strike. The resulting vertical stretch at the heel helps lessen side-to-side teetering of the wearer and thereby increases stability. The disclosed heel stabilizer includes at least one anchoring means, at least one heel lift means, a stretch segment, and a sole. An alternative embodiment includes an upper that conceals the structural features of the overshoe; a sole; a stay to center and stabilize the foot atop the shoe; and a well in the sole's heel to receive the high heel and the bottom of the stay component. | 2008-12-18 |
