20120163190Methods and Arrangement in a MPLS-TP Telecommunications Network for OAM Functions - Extensions to a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) frame forwarding procedure in an MPLS node are described. A context descriptor is defined for each frame received on a connection terminated at that node, and where this context descriptor is provided together with the frame to a corresponding function (e.g. Operations, Administration and Maintenance, OAM) if needed. The context descriptor is constructed based on key attributes characterizing the terminated connection, over which the frame is received, and addresses a particular function endpoint (Maintenance Endpoints (MEPs), Selector Bridge of a protection instance etc.) of a corresponding function (OAM, protection, etc.). In one embodiment, a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) node is directed to check not only the first but also the second label, and not to drop the first label (and the label space if relevant) when the second label is the Generic Association Channel Label (GAL). In this way, the original context of the packet is kept (i.e. the information relating to the connection over which the packet was received), and can be used for de-multiplexing to the corresponding MEP. Then the identifiers within the OAM payload can be used for verification of the connectivity. Other embodiments describe alternative solutions.2012-06-28

The base station persistently allocates the multicast resource to the multicast group, generates a MAP IE including allocation information of the multicast resource, an allocation period indicating a period in which the multicast resource is allocated and a lifetime in which allocation of the multicast resource is maintained, and transmitting the MAP IE to the multicast group.2012-06-28
20120163277METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTABLISHING MULICAST CONNECTION - A method of establishing a multicast connection is provided. A mobile station transmits a registration request message for a discovery of a multicast service to the base station, and receives a registration response message from the base station in response to the registration request message. The mobile station exchanges a DSA request message and a DSA response message to the DSA request message with the base station, for a multicast connection on the multicast service. The mobile station receives a downlink control channel including allocation information of multicast resource from the base station.2012-06-28
20120163278METHOD FOR PERFORMING DIRECT COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TERMINALS - A method for performing direct communication, by a first terminal, between terminals, includes transmitting a control message for a direct communication resource allocation to at least one second terminal through a first region included in a direct communication resource, transmitting synchronization information to at least one second terminal through a second region included in the direct communication resource, and transmitting a data packet to at least one second terminal through a third region included in the direct communication resource.2012-06-28

20120163280PHYSICAL LAYER COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL FOR USE IN WIRELESS NETWORKS WITH RELAYS - In some embodiments, a relay station comprises a baseband processor, an RF modulator/demodulator coupled to the baseband processor to modulate/demodulate data for communication within a predetermined frequency range, and a control module to implement a femto transmission-free zone in at least one of a time domain or a frequency domain and in which the relay station does not transmit data. Other embodiments may be described.2012-06-28
