20100008260 | METHOD FOR CONFIGURING CONTROL TUNNEL AND DIRECT TUNNEL IN IPV4 NETWORK-BASED IPV6 SERVICE PROVIDING SYSTEM - Provided is a method for configuring a control tunnel and a direct tunnel in an IPv4 network-based IPv6 service providing system. To provide IPv6 service, when a random request terminal receives a tunnel response message from a control server by using service information downloaded from a portal server at the time of initialization, the request terminal configures a control tunnel with the control server, and is registered to the control server. The request terminal transmits and receives a direct tunnel request message and a direct tunnel response message with a counterpart terminal by using its terminal information learned during the control tunnel configuration, i.e., network position information and status information, thereby configuring a direct tunnel. Thus, IPv6 communication is made through IPv4 based IPv6 tunneling, so that IPv6 application services that are not yet widely used can easily come into wide use. Also, only software change of each terminal and a control server is required without changing existing network equipment, so that a cost burden of a service provider can be minimized. | 2010-01-14 |

20100008289 | Method to Minimize Interference into Legacy SDARS Reception by Varying Overlay Modulation as a Function of Satellite Position - In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, a degree of hierarchical modulation can be varied as a function of satellite position, which can be related to time of day, and where such hierarchical modulation can be a combination of phase and amplitude shifts. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, as each satellite in a multiple satellite system broadcasting to North America moves towards a D-node or an A-node position, the offset angle of a phase-based hierarchical modulation scheme can be varied. Thus, in exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the lowest satellite position in the sky can have the lowest offset angle for overlay bits, which offset angle can, for example, progressively increase as the position of the satellite in the sky increases. At a satellite's highest point in the sky, the overlay offset angle can, for example, thus be at its maximum. To aid a receiver to receive such varying overlay modulated data, the value of a varying overlay offset angle (for each satellite) can be embedded in an Overlay Identification Marker (OIM) in the bit stream broadcast by that satellite. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention each satellite broadcast receiver can thus decode each satellite's signal, knowing its respective instantaneous overlay offset angle. The receiver can then use this information to appropriately correct MRC weightings (weighting more heavily the (higher lying) satellite with the higher degree of Layer 2 modulation) before it is MRC combined across various received signal streams. Similar methods can be implemented for other overlay modulation techniques, and the method can be extended to a broadcast system using N satellites, each having a varying degree of Layer 2 modulation. | 2010-01-14 |

The present invention dynamically adapts the TFT to control the routing of downlink data packets from a GGSN to an MS. When the MS sends an uplink data packet on a premium bearer channel, a TFT controller extracts from the uplink data packet, parameters which include at least the destination address of the uplink data packet. A downlink packet filter subset for filtering downlink data packets is then defined as a function of the extracted parameters. For example, the downlink packet filter subset may identify downlink data packets having a source address that matches the destination address of the uplink data packet. The TFT is then modified as a function of the downlink packet filter subset to route the identified downlink packets through the premium bearer channel to the MS, and to route differently, downlink data packets having source addresses that do not match the destination address of the uplink data packet. | 2010-01-14 |

The registration or deregistration is performed over one of the following interfaces: a Service Control Interface (ISC) with a Serving Call State Control Function (S-CSCF), a Gm interface with a Proxy CSCF (P-CSCF), or an Ma interface with an Interrogating CSCF (I-CSCF). | 2010-01-14 |
20100008353 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ENDING-CALL ANCHORING OF CIRCUIT SWITCHED DOMAIN - The present invention discloses a method and a system for call termination anchoring of CS (Circuit Switching) domain, the method including the following steps: when a call coming from CS domain network reaches the mobile switch center in the home circuit switched domain of a voice call continuity subscriber, the mobile switch center sends a LOCREQ message to a home location register to query a location; Step | 2010-01-14 |
20100008354 | METHOD FOR BIDIRECTIONAL DATA TRANSMISSION VIA A PACKET-ORIENTED NETWORK DEVICE - A telecommunication system for bidirectional data transmission of a data set between a data transmission device and a data reception device via at least one packet-oriented network device, which includes encapsulation of the data set to enable a connection-oriented data transmission of the data set; connection-oriented transmission of the encapsulated data set by means of at least one mobile telephone from the data transmission device to a base station of a mobile telephone network; evaluation of the data encapsulation protocol in the base station for an unpacking of the data set to enable a packet-oriented data transmission of the data set; and packet-oriented transmission of the data set from the base station to the data reception device. | 2010-01-14 |
20100008355 | Method And System For Computer-Based Private Branch Exchange - A computer-based distributed private branch exchange (PBX). Preferred embodiments route calls and perform other functions of a PBX as well as performing services not commonly available on a PBX, such as Internet telephony. In one embodiment, the invention control and operations is distributed among several computers or Personal Computers (PCs) on a computer network. | 2010-01-14 |
20100008356 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PRESENCE-BASED TELEPHONY COMMUNICATIONS - A system and method can enable a user of a communications network, such as a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), wireless and/or voice over IP network to participate in Presence Availability Management (PAM) and Instant Messaging (IM) activities of a PAM/IM network. In response to phone network triggers, a phone network Service Control Point (SCP) can generate requests to a web server. The web server can translate the requests to presence information that can be forwarded to presence user agents for participants of the PAM/IM network. The presence user agents can present the user's presence information to participants having the user on their “buddy list”. In turn, the presence user agent for the user can forward the presence information for participants on the user's “buddy list” to a media server that can communicate the information to the user through Automatic Speech Recognition, Text to Speech and/or Dual Tone MultiFrequency technology | 2010-01-14 |
20100008357 | SWITCHING ARCHITECTURE WITH PACKET ENCAPSULATION - The invention includes, among other things, a system for passing TDM traffic through a packet switch. In one embodiment, the system includes a packet switch that has a plurality of data ports and is capable of routing FSDU packets between the plurality of data ports. A TDM encapsulation circuit process a TDM data flow that is incoming to the switch. A circuit demultiplexer processes the incoming data flow to buffer data associated with different TDM circuits into different buffer locations. A timer monitors the amount of time available to fill the FSDU, and when the time period reaches the frame boundary, an FSDU generator generates an FSDU that is filled with data associated with the TDM circuits. Header information is added for allowing the packet switch to route the generated FSDU to a port associated with the respective TDM circuit. | 2010-01-14 |
20100008358 | System and Methods for Content Insertion within a Router - Systems and methods are provided for inserting content into messages being sent between systems or networks. A router according to one embodiment automatically inserts new content within a received data packet. Before insertion, the router may determine that the received data packet corresponds to a certain type of message such as a web page, an e-mail, or a text message. The router may also determine whether the packet includes a predetermined insertion point in the corresponding message. The predetermined insertion point may be, for example, an end of the web page, e-mail, or text message. The type of message and/or the subject matter of the inserted content may be based on user selectable preferences. In one embodiment, a plurality of packets are received before the new content is inserted into the message to improve reliability and/or allow message decoding. | 2010-01-14 |
