20090067192 | LOGO DISPLAY - A logo display includes a light guide plate including a light emitting surface, a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) optically coupled to the light guide plate, and a light-transmissive layer disposed on the light emitting surface of the light guide plate. A light-transmissive colored pattern is formed on the light-transmissive layer. The light-transmissive colored pattern is configured for filtering out a color component of the light incident on the light-transmissive layer same as a color of the light-transmissive colored pattern. | 03-12-2009 |
20090109701 | ILLUMINANT BUSINESS CARD - An illuminant business card includes a light guiding card body, at least a light emitting diode and a power source. The light guiding card body includes a front surface with display information arranged thereon, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, and a plurality of side surfaces interconnecting the front and rear surfaces. The at least a light emitting diode couples to the light guiding card body optically. The power source is electrically connected to the at least a light emitting diode to supply an electric current to the at least a light emitting diode to illuminate the display information of the light guiding card body. | 04-30-2009 |
20090180296 | LOGO DISPLAY - A logo display includes a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface and a light output surface. The light output surface has a logo pattern and a number of microstructures thereon. The microstructures are arranged along a contour of the logo pattern. The light source is arranged adjacent to the light incident surface and configured for emitting light beams. The microstructures are structured and arranged in a manner such that the light beams exiting from the output surface illuminate the logo pattern and the microstructures, and the light intensity at the microstructures is greater than that at the logo pattern, thus producing a stereoscopic logo pattern. | 07-16-2009 |
20100124074 | OPTIMIZED DISTRIBUTION OF LIGHT EXTRACTION FROM AN EDGE LIT LIGHT SOURCE - An edge-lit panel features extractor patterns that produce uniform illumination. The effective density of extractor pattern pixels is adjusted to achieve uniform illumination. A method of adjusting the effective pixel density of extractor pattern pixels to achieve uniform illumination entails adjusting areas of darkness of a grayscale image, then producing a binary image by dithering the grayscale image, and applying an extractor pattern corresponding to the binary image to a surface of the panel. The extractor pixels correspond to pixels of the binary image derived from a dithered grayscale image, with the darkness of the grayscale image increasing with distance from the light source. Effective pixel density is increased to compensate for attenuated output in dim areas. By adjusting gray shading darkness of a grayscale image, pixel density can be adjusted to achieve uniform light emission. The extractor pixels may be applied using a radiation curable ink, which can be used in high speed inkjet printers that can achieve production speeds. The resulting print is waterproof, embossed and vibrant. | 05-20-2010 |
20130063970 | MULTI-SECTIONED, BILLBOARD-MOUNTED LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE - The present invention relates to a multi-sectioned, billboard-mounted light-emitting device comprising: a mounting frame onto which one or a plurality of partition pieces are joined by being slotted in a detachable fashion, and on the front of which are formed a plurality of billboard housing space parts; a light-emitting-diode module in which a plurality of LEDs are provided at predetermined intervals; a light-guide plate which surface emits due to the LEDs; a back-surface plate devised such that the light generated from the light-guide plate is emitted towards the front surface; and a billboard plate which is provided on the front surface of the light-guide plate while being received in a detachable fashion at a size matched to each of the billboard housing space parts which are section bared by means of the partition pieces. | 03-14-2013 |
20130258706 | EDGE-LIT FLAT PANEL REPETITIVE LIGHTING FIXTURE - A repetitive lighting fixture will alternate between at least two different illuminated images projected in a desired direction. The fixture includes edge-lit flat panels that are configured and/or overlayed to reproduce one or more desired images. Each panel is made of light-transmissive material, which optionally may contain colorant. Each edge-lit flat panel contains optics coupled with a second planar surface of the panel. The optics are arranged to define a desired shape of an image and are configured so as to cause light distributed within the panel to exit a first planar surface of the panel. Each panel has its own light source that projects light into a light transmitting edge of the panel. The panel's light source can include light emitting diodes (LED) that only or selectively illuminate the specific optics of that panel. | 10-03-2013 |

20140293644 | ILLUMINATION DEVICE - A point of purchase display unit with a light-conducting plastic support base and a plurality of sides. The support base is shaped to substantially conform to a translucent article, preferably fabric and most preferably comprising an article of clothing, stretched over at least a portion of the surface of the support base. In another embodiment, the article may comprise a translucent bottle. A plurality of light sources, preferably LED's positioned along at least a portion of the perimeter of the support base is utilized to transmit light through the support base in order to illuminate the fabric or article, thereby enhancing its visibility. | 10-02-2014 |
20150070928 | MODULE FOR DISPLAYING PRODUCTS WITH BACK-LIGHTING FUNCTION, FRONT MODULE THEREOF AND PRODUCT DISPLAY UNIT - A front module for a portion for supporting products of a product display unit is configured to be disposed at the front end of the portion for supporting products and has a front side configured for displaying text and/or graphics information to customers. The front module has a planar light guide plate to which a light source is associated so that light from the light source is coupled into the light guide plate, wherein the light guide plate is configured to provide a back-lighting for the text and/or graphics information to be displayed on the front side of the front module. The front module enables an efficient and attractive product display. The back-lighting enables display of text and/or graphics information. The light emitted from the light guide plate can be used directly for the illumination of products and the direction of the light emission can adjusted as desired. | 03-12-2015 |
