The projection apparatus has the light source module. The light source module has a first light source, a wavelength transforming unit, and a driver. The first light source generates a first light beam having a first wavelength according to a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The wavelength transforming unit transforms the first light beam into a second light beam having a second wavelength. The driver drives the wavelength transforming unit, such that the first light beam irradiates a start position on the wavelength transforming unit when a rising edge of the first PWM signal is detected. The start position is determined by a controller.01-26-2012
20130194551ILLUMINATION DEVICE, PROJECTING DEVICE AND LIGHTING DEVICE - An illumination device includes a wavelength conversion material layer with a first surface, which includes a wavelength conversion material and a scattering material; a light guide device located adjacent the wavelength conversion material layer on a side facing its first surface for directing an excitation light onto the first surface of the wavelength conversion material layer, and for directing a mixed light emitted from the first surface, which includes converted light and remaining excitation light not absorbed by the wavelength conversion material layer, into a light exit port. In this illumination device, the light guide device can collect the excitation light reflected by the wavelength conversion material layer effectively, which insures that adding scattering materials into the wavelength conversion material layer doesn't have a significant impact on the luminous efficiency of the illumination device, and resolves the conflict between color uniformity and luminous efficiency of the device.08-01-2013
20130194552LIGHTING DEVICE AND PROJECTION-TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE USING SAME - A lighting device includes excitation light sources, phosphor wheel that emits green fluorescent light, a collimator lens that converts the emitted fluorescent light into parallel luminous flux, a red laser, a blue laser, a dichroic mirror that combines the excitation light supplied from the excitation light sources and the light supplied from the red laser, and a cross dichroic prism that combines the fluorescent light emitted from phosphor wheel, the light supplied from the red laser and the light supplied from the blue laser. The cross dichroic prism supplies the excitation light supplied from the excitation light sources to the collimator lens and the collimator lens condenses the incident excitation light on the phosphor wheel.08-01-2013
