20110299026FLOATING LENS MOUNTING SYSTEM - Various embodiments of an eyeglass and eyeglass system are provided that can maintain the geometric and optical quality of a lens supported by the eyeglass. The eyeglass can comprise a frame, a support member carried by the frame, and a lens mounting area or groove extending at least partially along at least one of the frame and the support member. The support member can be pivoted, moved, or deflected relative to the frame between a retaining position and an open position. In the open position, the lens can be seated within the lens mounting area. In the retaining position, the support member and the frame retain the lens without exerting deformative forces on the lens. Accordingly, the as-molded geometric and optical qualities of the lens can be preserved.12-08-2011
20120069293EYEGLASS FRAME, EYEWEAR, AND AN EYEWEAR ASSEMBLY METHOD - An eyeglass frame is provided that includes a lens retaining part including first and second lens retaining sections connected by a bridge. One of the sections includes a lens receiving opening defined by a rim having a groove into which an edge of a lens is adapted to be received, and a second opening proximate the lens receiving opening and spaced apart from the bridge. The section also includes a channel extending between the lens receiving opening and the second opening. The channel is adapted to be enlarged to expand the rim such that the edge of the lens can be situated in the groove in the rim. The one section may be formed from a flexible material. The section may be formed from a single piece of molded plastic. The bridge may be substantially non-expandable. An eyewear system is provided, and a method of assembling eyewear is provided.03-22-2012

20120092609EYEWEAR ASSEMBLY - The present invention provides an eyewear assembly including a frame having a first portion and a second portion defining a first lens aperture for receiving a lens. The first portion is displaceable from the second portion to change the size of the lens aperture. The first frame portion includes a first arm extending therefrom and the second frame portion includes a second arm extending therefrom. The first and second arms include a connecting device disposed therebetween for restricting relative movement between the first and second arms. A securement body includes a slot for receiving therein the first and second arms. A locking member is engageable with the securement body and at least one of the first and second arms to secure the frame to the securement body.04-19-2012

20090244476Pair of spectacles with interchangeable lenses - Each lens frame includes a slit at the assembly area of the corresponding temple, delimiting two independent which can be moved apart to widen the lens frame so that a lens can be inserted or removed. Each temple is connected to the corresponding lens frame by a tenon, including a first part connected to the temple, for making a rotating connection between the tenon and temple along the longitudinal axis of the temple, and a second pivotable part engaged between the portions of the lens frame. This second part, has a first dimension that can be in a first angular position of the tenon, in which the two portions, are not separated, and a second dimension in a second angular position of the tenon, in which the two portions are separated sufficiently to widen the lens frame so that the lens can be replaced.10-01-2009
20090323015Spectacles - A pair of rimless spectacles includes two lenses, a frame including two temple units and a bridge, and a connection mechanism. The connection mechanism includes a plurality of first connectors spacedly provided at the lenses at a predetermined location and a plurality of second connectors provided at a predetermined location of each of the temple units and the bridge respectively, wherein the second connectors are coupled with the first connectors respectively to couple the temple units at two outer sides of the lenses respectively and to couple the bridge between two inner sides of the lenses respectively in a tool-less manner.12-31-2009
