20080197664VEHICLE COVERING STRUCTURE - A cover system for a trailer of a freight transport vehicle having a cargo space, the cover system having a pair of track brackets, tracks, generally U-shaped bow portions mounted to the trucks so that there is displacement of the bow portions as each member of the pair of trucks is displaced along the length of the members of the track and a flexible canopy supported by the bow members for covering or uncovering the cargo space.08-21-2008
20100276964Removable enclosure for rear of vehicle - The removable enclosure for the rear of a vehicle provides additional storage space or cover for the open rear end of a vehicle, such as an open tailgate of a pickup truck or the open hatch of an SUV. The removable enclosure includes a housing having at least one sidewall and an upper wall defining an open lower end and an open front end. An internal frame is disposed within and supports the housing. The internal frame includes at least one elastic cord extending laterally across the housing. A pair of laterally opposed diagonal supports each extend from an upper edge of the front end of the housing to a lower edge of a rear face of the at least one sidewall. 20090039670Open-top cargo box with a tarp bow retaining aperture - An open-top cargo box for a truck trailer that is selectively coverable with bow-supported tarpaulin system. The cargo box has an interior cavity defined by front and rear walls connected together by a pair of longitudinally extending side walls. Each side wall has an upper horizontal surface defining a plurality of spaced-apart apertures therein. Each aperture has a first cross-sectional shape and a first size. The bows that support the tarpaulin include vertically oriented ends, each of which has a second cross-sectional shape and a second size. The second shape and size of the ends of the bows is smaller than the first shape and size of the apertures. Consequently, if the side walls of the cargo box spread apart under pressure exerted by a load carried in the cavity, the ends of the bows slidably move within the apertures in the side walls in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the side walls. The side walls may be reinforced proximate the apertures. Alternatively, each aperture is formed as a bore of an insert that is tightly received in any one of a plurality of holes in the upper surface of the side walls. The inserts may include markers on an outer surface thereof to enable the bore to be correctly aligned relative to the longitudinal axis of the side wall. Preferably, the apertures are oblong or elliptical in shape and the ends of the bows are circular in cross-section so that the ends may move from side to side within the apertures.02-12-2009
20110175391REMOVABLE ENCLOSURE FOR REAR OF VEHICLE - The removable enclosure for the rear of a vehicle provides additional storage space or cover for the open rear end of a vehicle, such as an open tailgate of a pickup truck or the open hatch of an SUV. The at least one elastic cord is secured to, and extends between, the pair of laterally opposed diagonal supports.07-21-2011
20110101727TONNEAU COVER SYSTEM - A tonneau system for a cargo box of a vehicle having at least one panel section having opposing edge members. 20120267913VEHCILE TOPPER THAT ENCLOSES THE CARGO BED OF A VEHICLE SUCH AS A PICKUP TRUCK, YET PROVIDES CONVENIENT OPEN ACCESS THERETO - A vehicle topper provides an enclosed compartment when coupled with a cargo bed of a vehicle such as a pickup truck. Convenient open access is provided to the bed of the vehicle by employing a rolling door that is supported by a frame within two parallel guide tracks. When the rolling door is in a completely closed position, the vehicle topper creates an enclosed and lockable compartment in conjunction with the cargo bed and the vehicle's cargo box. When the rolling door is moved through the guide tracks to a completely open position, the door is substantially disposed within a sub-floor space between a floor supported by the frame of the vehicle topper, and the vehicle's cargo bed. The rolling door can be caused to bypass the completely closed position and to open in a reverse direction. An outer frame is included to secure the vehicle topper to the walls of the cargo box.10-25-2012
