20080245840 | Pneumatic nailer - A pneumatic nailer comprising a frame defining a fastener ejection opening, and an elongated driver chamber. The driver chamber in turn defines a peripheral wall, a first end away from the fastener ejection opening and a second end towards the fastener ejection opening. The nailer also comprises trigger member and a piston member movable between a first position and a second position. The piston member comprises a piston driver slidably mounted in the driver chamber. When the piston member is moved towards the first position, the piston driver is moved towards the driver chamber first end; when the piston member is moved towards the second position, the piston driver is moved towards the driver chamber second end. The piston driver subdivides the driver chamber in two subchambers, namely (1) a first subchamber on one side of the piston driver, and comprising a fluid inlet for selectively admitting compressed air in the first subchamber in order to increase the pressure therein and urge the piston member towards said driver chamber second end, and (2) a second subchamber on another side of the piston driver, the second subchamber for fluid communication with the atmosphere through the fastener ejection channel. The piston member also comprises a striking member carried by the piston driver and engaging the fastener ejection opening at least when the piston member is in the second position. The piston member also comprises a selectively open exhaust passage allowing fluid communication between the first subchamber and the second subchamber, the exhaust passage being open at least when the piston member is in the striking position. When the piston member moves from the second position to the first position, air flows from the first subchamber towards the second subchamber through the exhaust passage, and from the second subchamber outwardly into the atmosphere through the fastener ejection opening. | 10-09-2008 |
20090152323 | POSITION SCALE ON NAIL GUN - A position scale for a nail gun includes a scale member, a positioning member, and an extending member. The scale member is mounted on the nail gun with a zero scale aligned with a muzzle of the nail gun. The positioning member is detachably mounted on the scale member for reciprocation along the scale member with a position portion as an index of the scale marks of the scale member. The extending member is detachably mounted on the positioning member with an extending position portion vertical to the scale member, wherein the extending member is distal to the nail gun than the positioning member. | 06-18-2009 |
20100127037 | PLANK TOP SET TOOL FOR HARDWOOD PLANK STAPLES - A plank top set tool for driving hardwood staples including a body having an underside base surface which contacts a base top and an angled stop surface fitting over the vertical surface leading to the tongue base. Extending at a 45 degree angle through the block is a staple slot bore having a staple slot width. A rod is insertable into the bore and has a first end acting as a hammering head to receive an impact force and a second end configured to receive a staple head and transfer the force. | 05-27-2010 |
20100213237 | Tool Positioning System for Positioning Power Fastener Tools - A system and method for positioning a tool. The system includes a base member configured to contact a first decking member and a second decking member; at least one base guide including a first end and an opposing second end, the first end coupled to the base member, the at least one base guide configured to position the base member relative to the first decking member and the second decking member; and an adjustable section coupled to the base member, the adjustable section configured to allow adjustment of at least one of a position and an angle of the tool relative to the base member. | 08-26-2010 |
20100308098 | FASTENING TOOL WITH BLIND GUIDE WORK CONTACT TIP - A blind guide work contact tip for mounting to a drive probe of a fastening tool is shaped in a manner which allows for an angled nail placement, such as 45 degree into a workpiece. The blind guide work contact is a one-piece attachment which is fitted around the existing drive probe and includes a body and two wings which extend therefrom forming a channel through which a fastener passes into the workpiece. The body has a work surface with a peak and sloped slides adjacent each side of the peak at approximately 45 degrees. The sloped surfaces allows the blind guide work contact tip to better access corners and angled spaces than previous work contact tips. The work contact tip also has a flat portion at the peak of the work surface so as to not inhibit face nailing. | 12-09-2010 |

20160129573 | ADJUSTABLE FASTENER-DRIVING TOOL SUPPORT SYSTEM - An adjustable fastener-driving tool support system. The support system supports the fastener-driving tool on a top surface of a flooring element to repeatably drive fasteners at a consistent position and angle into either a tongue side or a groove side of the flooring element. A support system includes an elongate channel member, a base and a holder mechanism. A guide member secured with respect to the channel member may also be provided. The base is configured to rest on the top surface of the flooring element to support the channel member at a downward angle with a driving end fastener outlet extending below a bottom surface of the base. Movement of the base along the channel raises or lowers the driving end fastener outlet and guide member so that the guide member can contact the flooring element during fastener driving to support the tool and so that the driving end fastener outlet is positioned relative to the flooring element for fastener driving. The holder mechanism holds the base against the channel member at any one of a plurality of axial positions along the channel member to provide for the repeatable driving of the fasteners at a consistent position and angle. | 05-12-2016 |
