108570330 | Having support spacer between a load-contacting surface and a base member | 11 |
20080210141 | Skid Base for Portable Building - A molded plastic skid base for a resin building is formed with all of its openings facing downward and with runners integral with a deck that forms a floor of the base. Replaceable wear plates cover the bottoms of the runners and have truck loading notches molded at their ends and a longitudinal channel in which fastener heads are positioned. Stake down slots are provided in the ends of the runners and wear plates in a diagonal orientation so as to be aligned toward the center of the building, below the base. The floor of the base is a grid formed of diagonally oriented ribs, at least some of which may be shorter in their center than at their ends, is crowned in the center and has openings which taper upwardly. A solid sheet may be placed over the grid to close it. Bosses for receiving the wear plate mounting fasteners are positioned at the same locations along the sides of the base as the fastener mounting locations for attaching the building side walls to the base, to provide a greater thickness of material at those locations for the building sidewall fasteners to penetrate. Edges of a septic tank opening formed in the base are slanted downwardly and rear corners of the opening are triangular in shape. Downwardly opening openings are also formed in the base into which weights and weight covers may be fixed. | 09-04-2008 |
20090255446 | PALLET - A pallet for the stable transport of goods; the pallet comprising at least one surface element, and a plurality of side elements arranged, in use, to maintain the at least one surface element under compression. Preferably the at least one surface element comprises a planar body, which is generally parallelepiped in shape, and having a periphery defined by peripheral edges. Preferably a portion of each side element is shaped and dimensioned to accommodate a respective peripheral edge of the at least one surface element whereby the at least one surface element is retained within the side elements. Preferably the perimeter length of the at least one surface element exceeds the perimeter length defined by the assembled side elements whereby the at least one surface element is held under compression within the frame assembly of the side elements. | 10-15-2009 |
20100083881 | PALLET ASSEMBLY - A pallet assembly includes an upper deck and a lower deck spaced by a plurality of columns. The weight of the pallet is reduced without significant reduction in strength by providing only a single cross beam in each of the upper and lower reinforcement members and orienting them perpendicular to one another. The reinforcement members are minimized for weight reduction and for improved performance in heat tests. The peripheral rail of the upper reinforcement member is reduced such that it rests on only an inwardly open recess on an inner corner of each of the corner columns. This reduces the size and weight of the upper reinforcement member, while still providing support to the upper deck. Additionally, the peripheral rails of both the upper and lower decks are reduced in length such that either ledge does not directly support them while the pallet is stored on a rack. As a result, in the case of sufficient heat source on the pallets, the pallets will eventually collapse without interference from the reinforcement members and at least partially smother the heat source. | 04-08-2010 |
20110259248 | SHIPPING PALLET POST REINFORCEMENT - A shipping pallet having a top deck, a bottom skid, and a plurality of posts disposed between and separating the top deck and the bottom skid such that at least one tow fork is able to be positioned between the top deck and the bottom skid. The shipping pallet also includes a plurality of collars formed as part of the top deck, and the posts are integrally formed as part of the bottom skid. Each of the plurality of posts is received into and connected to a respective one of the plurality of collars. There is also a plurality of reinforcements, and each of the reinforcements is disposed within and surrounded by a post. Each post and reinforcement is received into one of the collars, and the post is connected to the collar through a connection point, such as an adhesive joint or thermoplastic weld. | 10-27-2011 |
20110259249 | PALLET - A pallet provides reinforced columns and a more resilient periphery of the upper deck. The pallet includes an upper portion having an upper deck and a lower portion, which may include runners. A plurality of outer column portions have peripheral walls extending from the upper portion to the lower portion. A plurality of inner column portions are received within the outer column portions. | 10-27-2011 |
20110297055 | Foldably constructed force-resisting structures having interior vertical support ribs - A foldably constructed force-resisting structure comprises a top member and a bottom member foldably constructed and assembled from one or more blanks of sheet material, preferably corrugated paperboard, initially in a flat condition. The top member includes a base panel and at least one side portion folded downwardly from the base panel. The bottom member includes a base panel and at least one side portion folded upwardly from the base panel. The top and bottom members are assembled in nested relation to define an interior of the force-resisting structure between the base panels, which are at least substantially parallel to one another. The force-resisting structure includes a vertical support rib structure in the interior defining an X-shaped or cross-shaped configuration. The support rib structure is foldably constructed from the top member base panel and/or the bottom member base panel and provides vertical support for a load disposed on the base panel of the top member. | 12-08-2011 |

20120312201 | SHIPPING PALLET APPARATUS AND METHOD - This invention relates to shipping pallets | 12-13-2012 |
20130068143 | SHIPPING PALLET POST REINFORCEMENT - A pallet used for stowing and transporting items for shipping. The pallet design of the present invention includes a top deck, a bottom skid, and several posts for providing support between the top deck and bottom skid. The posts are integrated with either the top deck or bottom skid. Within each pallet post is a steel tube reinforcement that is overmolded directly into the bottom skid, or is assembled after the pallet post is molded. The supports, which are typically hollow posts, are molded onto either the top deck or bottom skid, and a thermoplastic weld or adhesive joint is applied to the posts to complete the assembly. The palled having the integrated posts and reinforcements provides an economical approach of reinforcing pallet posts to absorb tow fork impact. | 03-21-2013 |
20130152832 | SEPARBLE BLOCK SHIPPING PLATFORM - A shipping platform system may include a top deck, and a top block joined to the top deck. The system may also include a bottom deck, and a bottom block joined to the bottom deck. The system may further include a joint that yields under a predetermined load that joins the top block to the bottom block. | 06-20-2013 |
20150047537 | LOAD BEARING STRUCTURE - A pallet including a deck, a frame and one or more elements. The deck is for carrying cargo. The frame is about a perimeter of the pallet and is formed of horizontally extending tubular portions. The elements support the frame above a support surface to overlie one or more openings for receiving the tines of a lifting device. The tubular portions include lengthwise corrugations. | 02-19-2015 |
