The system comprises a hoop assembly having a plurality of tension lips, and a plurality of attachment studs secured to a drum shell. The tension lip is sloped and placed on the interior of the hoop assembly. The attachment stud is affixed at even intervals along the exterior of the drum shell. The hoop assembly contains a lip to secure a drum head and is placed over the top of the drum head and aligned with the attachment stud.
