20100024376Method and apparatus for manufacturing slalom false twisting on ring yarn - In a process for manufacturing a singles ring yarn, a method and apparatus is invented which utilizes double belts as a false twist device and incorporates it in the conventional ring spinning machine for producing a singles ring yarn. In this invention, a double-belts is applied thus two twisting points, instead of one twisting point, are adopted for the yarn false twisting to improve the false twist efficiency. Accordingly, a ratio of the velocity of the belt to the delivery speed of the yarn is controlled and the wrapping angle of the yarn on the belts is adjusted in order to obtain the desired property of the final singles ring yarn. The said invention can enhance the strength of fiber strand at the spinning triangle and thus ensure the yarns spun in a normal condition at low twist multipliers, which is unable to be obtained by the conventional ring spinning machine. The method produces yarns with good strength, less hairiness and lower yarn residual torque at low twist level and endows the resultant fabric with softer handle, low spirality as well as clear and smooth surface appearance. The method and apparatus has the advantages of easy yarn piecing-up and doffing process, low spinning end-breakage when using ordinary raw materials and low cost of investment and maintenance, which not only is able to meet the commercial requirements of the large-scale production in the textile industry but also possesses a high false twist efficiency.02-04-2010

The nozzle has an elongate nozzle body, with a clear cross section having a narrower width in the region of its central longitudinal axis than in its tube-like edge regions. The nozzle further has an inlet opening, which has its largest width in the yarn running direction. The clear cross section of the nozzle body of the suction air nozzle increases from the inlet opening of the nozzle body in the axial direction to an end-side outlet opening.05-14-2009

20130174531METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SPINNING AND CRIMPING A SYNTHETIC MULTIFILAMENT YARN - A method and an apparatus for spinning and crimping a synthetic multifilament yarn, wherein a filament bundle is spun from a polymer melt and compressed to a yarn plug. The yarn plug is advanced at a cooling speed and cooled within a cooling zone in a moving cooling groove. After cooling, the yarn plug is disentangled to form a crimped yarn, with the latter being wound to a package. The method of the invention also provides for selecting the length of the cooling zone and the cooling speed of the yarn plug such that the yarn plug is cooled in the cooling groove over a period of at least 1 second. To this end, the apparatus of the invention includes a cooling groove, whose width is dimensioned such that the yarn plug can be advanced in meander form in a plurality of superposed layers.07-11-2013

20120180450Method For Removing And Drawing A Synthetic Thread And A Device For Performing The Method - The invention relates to a method and a device for removing and drawing a synthetic thread to form a fully drawn yarn. The thread is formed by joining a plurality of extruded filaments and is guided by contact on the circumference of heated guide jackets of several driven galette pairs. In order to obtain a gentle and highly homogenized treatment of the filaments, the thread is guided in an S-shaped or Z-shaped thread course by a first galette pair having two guide jackets driven in opposite directions during the removal from a spinning zone and before the drawing. Thus, both sides of the thread can be brought directly into circumferential contact with the guide jackets for in order to heat the thread.07-19-2012

20120198808COATED HIGH STRENGTH FIBERS - The invention relates to a high strength fibers comprising a coating of cross-linked silicone polymer, and ropes made thereof. The fibers are preferably high performance polyethylene (HPPE) fibers. The coating comprising a cross-linked silicone polymer is made from a coating composition comprising a cross-linkable silicone polymer. The rope shows markedly improved service life performance in bending applications such as cyclic bend-over-sheave applications. The invention also relates to the use of a cross-linked silicone polymer in a rope for an improvement of bend fatigue resistance.08-09-2012
