20160038262 | BRISTLED TOOTHPICK WITH COVER - A toothpick assembly that is engaged with a cover and is movable between extended, partially extended and retracted positions relative to the cover. The toothpick assembly includes a base with first and second ends; a locking assembly provided at the first end of the base that secures the base to the cover; and a toothpick provided at the second end of the base. The toothpick includes first and second regions. The first region defines sinusoidal grooves in the side faces thereof and a row of bristles extending outwardly from each groove. The bristles are integrally formed with rest of the toothpick assembly and taper in length from the base and towards the second region. The second region is bristle-free and terminates in an upwardly curving tip. The first and second regions taper in width moving toward the tip so that toothpick is easily inserted into an interdental space. | 02-11-2016 |
20160000541 | METHOD OF USING A BRISTLED TOOTHPICK ASSEMBLY - A toothpick assembly including a toothpick and case within which the toothpick is detachably engaged. The toothpick includes a tapered tip which is generally triangular in cross-section having opposed sides connected by a generally flat bottom and an apex. A bristle array is provided on each side and the bottom and apex are free of bristles. The bristle array is configured as a sinuous or serpentine wave. Bristles in each array are smallest closest to an end of the tip and progressively increase in size as you move away therefrom. The toothpick is movable within the case's bore between a fully retracted, a partially extended and a fully extended position. A locking mechanism selectively locks the toothpick in any of these positions. When the toothpick is to be changed, the locking mechanism is disengaged and the toothpick is slid out of the bore and is replaced with a new toothpick. | 01-07-2016 |
