A system and a method are provided comprising a set up of one or more gasification chambers, which are connected via ductwork to a combustion chamber to burn the waste material. The waste is loaded into the gasification chamber(s) and ignited there and the gas, which is generated by the sub-stoichiometric combustion in the gasification chamber is fully combusted in the secondary combustion chamber at a very high temperature.
