20120119682LUMINAIRE SYSTEM AND METHOD - A device comprising a solid state or mechanical switch coupled to a first connector and a second connector and at least one lighting device such as an LED light source wherein when power is applied to the first connector, the switch is operable to direct power to the lighting device and to a portion of the pins of the second connector. By constructing the connectors as similar, but with opposite genders, the connectors can be disposed on a circuit assembly to allow for daisy chaining a series of luminaire assemblies together. The connectors may be Ethernet connectors and the switch may be operable through control signals coupled to the Ethernet connector such that a smart power controller operating using power over Ethernet (POE) can operate to control the light sources.05-17-2012
20120081899LUMINAIRE SYSTEM AND METHOD - A method of designing a modular lighting system comprising determining a length of a lighting fixture, then selecting a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) modules from a selection of standardized sizes. And assembling the modules together with a fixture, so that the modules and the fixture combine to form the determined length. In some embodiments the selecting is done from a group comprising either a 10 inch, a 12 inch or a 4 inch LED module. In some embodiments the determining is in response to a building metric.04-05-2012
20110176318FIXTURE SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD - A fixture having a cylindrical body, said body having an internal cavity extending from a first end to a second end, and said body having an exterior threaded portion, a flange affixed to the first end of the body, a portion of said flange extending past the circumference of the cylindrical body, said flange formed for receiving an electrical component, and a fastener complementary to the threaded portion, wherein the fastener and the flange are operable to secure the cylindrical body to a structure.07-21-2011
20110024593FIXTURE SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD - A device comprising a chassis, which may be formed with a strut and a hollow housing, the chassis having a groove disposed at an end for receiving a cross member such that the cross member is slidable within the groove. Some embodiments may have a plurality of suspension wires, said suspension wires coupled to the cross member to provide support for the fixture. Some embodiments may have rotatable hubs connected to the cross member, the hub for providing support for a light source attached to the hub. Some embodiments may provide for a ballast disposed into the housing.02-03-2011
20110019396FIXTURE SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD - A luminaire comprising a first hub comprising a first fixed portion rotatably coupled to a first rotor portion, said hub having an internal chamber, accessible through openings on the first fixed portion and the first rotor portion; a first lamp socket coupled to the first rotor portion of the first hub; a light rail affixed to the first rotor portion, said light rail having a bore the length of the light rail; a second hub comprising a second fixed portion rotatably coupled to a second rotor portion; and a second lamp socket coupled to the second rotor portion of the second hub, wherein a first set of one or more power wires is coupled to the first lamp socket, wherein a second set of power wires is disposed in the opening on the first fixed portion and further into the bore and is coupled to the second socket.01-27-2011
20100026215LUMINAIRE SYSTEM AND METHOD - A device comprising a solid state or mechanical switch coupled to a first connector and a second connector and at least one lighting device such as an LED light source wherein when power is applied to the first connector, the switch is operable to direct power to the lighting device and to a portion of the pins of the second connector.
