20120134521HEARING AID FITTING PROCEDURE AND PROCESSING BASED ON SUBJECTIVE SPACE REPRESENTATION - A system for hearing assistance devices to assist hearing aid fitting applied to individual differences in hearing impairment. The system is also usable for assisting fitting and use of hearing assistance devices for listeners of music. The method uses a subjective space approach to reduce the dimensionality of the fitting problem and a non-linear regression technology to interpolate among hearing aid parameter settings. This listener-driven method provides not only a technique for preferred aid fitting, but also information on individual differences and the effects of gain compensation on different musical styles.05-31-2012
20120126804APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING FAULTY CONCENTRIC NEUTRALS IN A LIVE POWER DISTRIBUTION CABLE - An apparatus for detecting a faulty concentric neutral wire in a live power distribution cable may include, in one embodiment, a housing for sliding along a surface of a power distribution cable, a magnetic sensor, and a motion device. The magnetic sensor may be coupled to the housing and configured to detect a magnetic field produced by each concentric neutral wire as the housing moves along the surface of the cable. The motion device may also be coupled to the housing, and may detect motion of the housing relative to the cable. In some embodiments, a communication device may communicate data describing the magnetic field and motion to a destination device.05-24-2012
20120059283SYSTEM FOR EVALUATING INFANT MOVEMENT - A system and method for measuring movements, utilizing one or more wireless accelerometers attached to one or more limbs of a human subject for the purpose of determining certain temporal and spatial gestures of the subject.03-08-2012
20120007468Dynamically Adjusting Piezoelectric Current Sensors - Provided are various embodiments of an adjustment circuit, having a base layer and a piezoelectric layer juxtaposed relative to the base layer and including a first electrode such that when the piezoelectric layer is stressed a polarization charge appears between the base layer and one side of the piezoelectric layer and an opposite polarization charge appears on an opposite side of the piezoelectric layer.01-12-2012
20110078666System and Method for Reproducing Device Program Execution - Provided are a system and method for precisely reproducing a device program execution, such as reproducing a software program executed on a computer for example. The method provides a solution to a class of diagnosis methods known as “record/replay” or “deterministic replay”, where information related to a program execution is recorded for later replay, often for diagnostic purposes to reproduce errors in device function such as software bugs and other anomalous behavior. In contrast with other methods in this class, the invention provides a method for low-overhead recording and high-precision replay of programs possibly utilizing multiple processor cores, and also low-overhead recording and high-precision replay of programs that perform input and/or output operations at high data rates, and further provides a system and method provide a solution with substantially few hardware requirements beyond that of a modern electronic device, such as a personal computer, or a laptop computer, or other electronic device controlled by one or more processors. Taken together, these features enable efficient and cost-effective execution replay of modern multiprocessor and networked software.03-31-2011
20090032808ENHANCING PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF ORGANIC SEMICONDUCTING FILMS BY IMPROVED SOLUTION PROCESSING - Improved processing methods for enhanced properties of conjugated polymer films are disclosed, as well as the enhanced conjugated polymer films produced thereby. Addition of low molecular weight alkyl-containing molecules to solutions used to form conjugated polymer films leads to improved photoconductivity and improvements in other electronic properties. The enhanced conjugated polymer films can be used in a variety of electronic devices, such as solar cells and photodiodes.02-05-2009
