20120115961METAL ORGANIC FRAMEWORK COMPOUNDS - The invention provides novel Zr MOFs, in particular compounds having a surface area of at least 1020 m05-10-2012
20110263479Peptides - A peptide which can adopt a 310-27-2011
20110223106GRANIN PROTEINS AS MARKERS OF HEART DISEASE - The present invention relates to methods for the diagnosis of impaired cardiac function/heart disease. The present invention provides a method of diagnosing heart disease in a subject, said method comprising determining the level of CgB or SgII, or fragments thereof, in a body fluid of said subject. Such methods can also be used to determine the clinical severity or prognosis of heart disease in a subject.09-15-2011
20110099798FORMATION OF A LITHIUM COMPRISING STRUCTURE ON A SUBSTRATE BY ALD - The present invention discloses a method for the formation of lithium comprising layer on a substrate using an atomic layer deposition method. The method comprises the sequential pulsing of a lithium precursor through a reaction chamber for deposition upon a substrate. Using further oxidising pulses and or other metal containing precursor pulses, an electrolyte suitable for use in thin film batteries may be manufactured.05-05-2011
20110018687ULTRASOUND ZONE LOCATION SYSTEM WITH HIGH CAPACITY - A zone location system with ultrasound US transmitters S01-27-2011
20100137266TREATMENT OF INSULIN RESISTANCE AND DISORDERS ASSOCIATED THEREWITH - The present invention provides the use of an LXR antagonist, or a physiologically-acceptable pro-drug therefor, in the manufacture of a medicament for combating insulin resistance or a disorder associated therewith. Further provided is a compound being an ester or carbamate of a hydroxycholesterol, a pharmaceutical composition of such a compound or its use in therapy.06-03-2010
20100064367INTRUSION DETECTION FOR COMPUTER PROGRAMS - A method of detecting intrusion in a computer program which has number of defined libraries and includes cross border instructions which cause execution to branch from a source library to a target library. The method comprises the step of determining whether execution of the program is in an area consistent with normal execution of the program, by checking whether the source library of a cross border instruction is the expected current execution library of the program. Each cross border instruction has a code stub identifying the source library, and when a legal cross border instruction is executed the target library becomes the current execution library. The method also checks that the target address of a cross border instruction is a legal address. In another arrangement, areas of the program are set so that a cross border instruction will generate page protection fault which is intercepted by the intrusion detection system so that the cross border instruction can be checked.03-11-2010
20090286674ACTIVATION OF SURFACES THROUGH GAS PHASE REACTIONS - A process for the preparation of active surfaces terminated by a desired form of organic, organic-inorganic, or inorganic nature comprising growing with a gas phase deposition technique preferable the ALCVD (atomic layer chemical vapour deposition) technique. As an example, trimethylaluminium (TMA), hydroquinone (Hq) and phloroglucinol (Phl) have been used as precursors to fabricate surfaces that are terminated by hydroxyl groups attached to aromates. Further types of active surfaces are described. These surfaces can be used to produce surfaces: suitable for adhesion through the use of glue or other adhesive, providing receptors for biological molecules, making the surfaces biocompatible, of catalytically active materials, where upon subsequent types of chemical reactions can take place, with different degrees of wetting properties.11-19-2009
20090104500Proton Conductors - Proton conductivity has been shown in acceptor-doped rare earth orthoniobates and tantalates (LnNbO04-23-2009
20090056800Surface Passivation of Silicon Based Wafers - The surface recombination velocity of a silicon sample is reduced by deposition of a thin hydrogenated amorphous silicon or hydrogenated amorphous silicon carbide film, followed by deposition of a thin hydrogenated silicon nitride film. The surface recombination velocity is further decreased by a subsequent anneal. Silicon solar cell structures using this new method for efficient reduction of the surface recombination velocity is claimed.03-05-2009
20080306315Metal-Organic Framework Catalysts and Their Use in Hydrocarbon Transformation - The invention relates to a porous heterogeneous catalyst material comprising frameworks of inorganic cornerstones connected by organic bridges, characterized in that as organic bridges are used ligands having a complexed catalytically active metal. The metals are preferably palladium and platinum. The ligands preferably contain nitrogen donor groups for complexing the catalytically active metal and carboxylate groups connecting to the inorganic cornerstones.12-11-2008
20080281523CHANNEL IMPULSE RESPONSE ESTIMATION - A method of estimating the impulse response of a channel is disclosed. The method includes transmitting an impulse signal to the channel, detecting a received signal from the channel, and calculating an estimate of the impulse response of the channel by applying a calculated inverse matrix of the impulse signal to the received signal.11-13-2008
