20120129355 | METHOD FOR TEXTURING A SURFACE OF A SEMICONDUCTOR SUBSTRATE AND DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD - A method for texturing a surface of a semiconductor substrate is proposed. Therein, the surface is etched with an etching solution which etches the semiconductor substrate material, wherein a wetting agent is added to the etching solution, which wetting agent contains water-soluble polymers, in particular in the form of polyvinyl alcohol. Therein, the process temperatures of the etching solution can be increased in comparison to conventional texturing methods, as a result of which the process time can be reduced. Process guidance is simplified and process stability is increased. A suitable texturing device for carrying out the method can, in addition to a basin for accommodating the etching solution and a heater for heating the etching solution to at least 85° C., furthermore have an optionally heatable emptying device for emptying the etching solution out of the basin, a removal device for removing crystallised water-soluble polymers from the etching solution and a circulation device for circulating the etching solution. | 05-24-2012 |
20100261201 | ASSAY FOR MONITORING ACTIVITY OF FRIZZLED RECEPTORS - The present invention relates to cell free assays for measuring receptor activity, especially for measuring a constitutive or a non-constitutive activity of frizzled receptors and uses thereof. The present invention further concerns a method for measuring a constitutive or non-constitutive activity of a frizzled receptor and a method for obtaining an active frizzled receptor ligand. | 10-14-2010 |
20090028869 | DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ALZHEIMER'S AND OTHER NEURODEMENTING DISEASES - Isolated, monoclonal, human, anti-β-amyloid antibodies are provided which bind to dimeric forms of Ab with higher affinity than to monomeric forms of Ab and when bound to an Aβ polypeptide comprising Aβ(21-37) shield Aβ(21-37) from proteolytic digestion. The antibodies were shown to inhibit fibril formation and reduce plaque size in vivo and to not bind brain vessel walls. Accordingly, the antibodies are useful in human and veterinary medicine for the treatment and prophylaxis of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodementing diseases. Methods of detecting or measuring the progression of a neurodementing disease also are provided. | 01-29-2009 |
