20120128838SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LEAN RECOVERY USING NON INVASIVE SENSORS - An apparatus and method for non-invasive lean recovery from a sparse lean product, where the method can include conveying ground sparse lean product through a conveyance channel where the conveyance channel extends along a path that extends through a scanning position adjacent a scanner. The process includes scanning along a predetermined length with the scanner the ground sparse lean product traveling through the conveyance channel and further analyzing the scan and determining the percent fat content for each ground sparse lean product segment which is defined by the predetermined length of the ground sparse lean product within the volume of the conveyance channel and the cross section areas of the conveyance channel. The process can further include directing each ground sparse lean product segment down one of a plurality of processing paths corresponding to the one defined fat content range in which the corresponding percent fat content falls.05-24-2012

20090285972VALUE WHOLE POULTRY PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE - An product and method providing for a value whole poultry product meat cut comprising a whole poultry carcass with the breast meat and tenders cut away with the breast skin remaining in tact. The semi-whole bird with the breast and tenders cut away with the breast skin in tact can be netted and/or packaged in a manner to have the look of a whole bird. The semi-whole poultry product can provide all of the normal meat yield to the consumer minus the breast and tender, while enhancing convenience, maintaining the appearance and aesthetic appeal and meeting the potential “per-pound” value of a whole chicken carcass.11-19-2009
20090007853STACKABLE TRAY SYSTEM AND METHOD TO LOAD, TRANSPORT, STUN AND SINGULATE POULTRY - A system and method for handling poultry comprising a harvesting system, a loading system, a transport system, an unloading and storing system, a stunning system, and a singulate and hanging system. The system and method performs the steps of harvesting live poultry into stackable transport trays, stacking and loading the trays on a transport, unloading and temporarily storing the poultry for subsequent stunning and hanging. The stackable transport trays are well vented and easier for handling poultry.01-08-2009
20080280550METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING GIZZARDS - A method and apparatus for separating an intestine from a gizzard comprising an infeed overhead rail indexing conveyor assembly, and a dual blade cutter assembly, which teaches a novel method and apparatus for separating a substantial portion of the intestine from a gizzard with an increased yield. The steps of the process can include feeding a viscera pack into a feed end of the overhead rail system; capturing and conveying the pack with a conveyor belt or chain having indexing members along a path to engage the dual blade cutter assembly. A substantial portion of the intestine and the separated gizzard with a small portion of the intestine remaining are allowed to separate after being severed by the dual blade and fall along separate chutes for further processing.11-13-2008
