20120047314DATA BACKUP METHOD FOR FLASH MEMORY MODULE AND SOLID STATE DRIVE - A data backup method for a flash memory module is provided. The flash memory module includes a plurality of flash memory units. In the data backup method, a controller is first provided to receive a backup function enabling signal. The controller then configures the flash memory units according to the backup function enabling signal such that at least one of the flash memory units is configured as a backup storage area and the flash memory units that are not in the backup storage area are configured as a main storage area. The controller then checks and receives an updated status of important data in the main storage area and backs up the important data into the backup storage area according to the updated status. Accessing to the backup storage area and accessing to the main storage area by the controller are independent.02-23-2012
20110302317MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM, MEDIA PLAYER AND METHOD FOR GENERATING PERSONALIZED STREAMING CONTENT - A multimedia system, a media player, and a method for generating a personalized streaming content are provided. The method includes following steps. A play habit of a user operation is recorded into a feature log in the media player. A download request is issued to at least one server through the Internet according to the feature log and a server list. A personalized streaming content corresponding to the play habit is downloaded from the server.12-08-2011
20100121909STORAGE APPARATUS AND ON-LINE CLIENT SERVICE SYSTEM, SOFTWARE AND METHOD THEREOF - An on-line client service method of a storage apparatus that includes detecting the current status of the storage apparatus when a link is established between a client host and the storage apparatus and determining whether or not a diagnostic event has occurred, and when the diagnostic event occurs, a diagnostic result is generated. In addition, the diagnostic result is transmitted to a far-end server to process the storage apparatus properly according to the diagnostic result.05-13-2010
20090132489METHOD FOR MANAGING DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPH, APPARATUS FOR DISPLAYING DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPH, AND METHOD FOR PLAYING THE SAME - A method for playing a digital photograph display apparatus is provided. The method includes connecting the digital photograph display apparatus to a storage area, wherein the storage area has a plurality of digital photographs. In this method, a metadata (for example, the information in an exchange image file—EXIF), of each digital photograph is captured to read the corresponding shooting date of the digital photograph. In addition, a current date information is generated. The corresponding shooting date of each digital photograph is compared with the current date information. A digital photograph is displayed when the shooting date of the digital photograph is related to the current date information.05-21-2009
20090125783STORAGE APPARATUS, METHOD FOR ACCESSING DATA AND FOR MANAGING MEMORY BLOCK - A method for managing a memory block is provided. In this method, a plurality of block tables having different storing priorities is provided. In addition, the number of error correction bits in the memory block is checked. Thereby, in the present invention, data can be stored into the memory block in a block table according to the number of error correction bits in the memory block so that the sequence in which the memory block is used for storing data can be determined.05-14-2009
20090125759STORAGE DEVICE WITH SELF-CONDITION INSPECTION AND INSPECTION METHOD THEREOF - A storage device with self-status detection and an inspection method thereof are provided. The storage device includes a plurality of storage areas (i.e., block tables), a plurality of memory blocks, and a status detection unit. The storage areas respectively have a corresponding weight value, and the addresses of memory blocks which have the same number of error correct codes (ECCs) are recorded in the same storage area. The status detection unit obtains a status of the storage device according to the number of addresses of the memory blocks recorded in a storage area and the corresponding weight value of the storage area.05-14-2009
20090115369PORTABLE ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CIRCUIT AND METHOD FOR CHARGING RECHARGEABLE BATTERY THEREOF - A portable electronic apparatus capable of dynamically adjusting a charging current includes a memory unit, a memory controlling unit, a detecting unit, a current-adjusting unit and a rechargeable battery. The memory controlling unit is coupled to the memory unit for reading/writing the data of the memory unit. The detecting unit is coupled to the memory controlling unit for detecting the portable electronic apparatus to determine whether or not the portable electronic apparatus executes any operation, for example, reading/writing data or playing music and thereby generating a detection result. The current-adjusting unit is coupled to the detecting unit for correspondingly adjusting the charging current according to the detection result. The rechargeable battery is coupled to the current-adjusting unit for receiving the charging current for charging.05-07-2009
20090045914WRITE-PROTECTION MODULE AND METHOD FOR STORAGE DEVICE - A write-protection module for a storage device and the method thereof are disclosed. The write-protection module includes a power supply circuit, a fingerprint sensor, a database, and a microprocessor. The microprocessor for receiving the working power produced by the power supply circuit to maintain operation is respectively coupled to the power supply circuit, the fingerprint sensor, and the database. The fingerprint sensor receives the fingerprint input of a user, and the microprocessor receives the output signal of the fingerprint sensor and converts the output signal into an input cryptograph. Finally, the microprocessor compares the input cryptograph with a predetermined cryptograph stored in the database to produce a comparison information, and determines whether or not the user may access data.02-19-2009
20090037645NON-VOLATILE MEMORY DEVICE AND DATA ACCESS CIRCUIT AND DATA ACCESS METHOD - A non-volatile memory device, a data access circuit and a data access method are provided. The non-volatile memory device includes a main controller, a plurality of sub-controllers and a plurality of memory blocks. The sub-controllers are coupled to the main controller and are used to execute the tasks assigned by the main controller. The memory blocks are respectively coupled to the corresponding sub-controllers. The main controller is used to divide a received main data into a plurality of sub-data, and the sub-data are respectively saved in the memory blocks through corresponding sub-controllers. Therefore, the data access speed of the non-volatile memory device is substantially speeded-up.02-05-2009
20090013134MEMORY APPARATUS AND PROTECTING METHOD THEREOF - A memory apparatus and method for protecting the memory apparatus are provided. The memory apparatus includes a memory unit, a memory control unit, a switch and a control circuit. The memory control unit is used for reading from or writing to the memory unit and has a build-in protection unit. The switch has a lock end and a normal end. The control circuit is coupled between the switch and the memory control unit and is used for detecting the position of the switch.
