Patent application numberTitlePublished
20120028159COMPRESSION CASING FOR A FUEL CELL STACK AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPRESSION CASING FOR A FUEL CELL STACK - A fuel cell or electrolysis cell stack has force distribution members with one planar and one convex shape applied to at least its top and bottom face and in one embodiment further to two of its side faces. A compressed mat and further a rigid fixing collar surrounds the stack and force distribution members, whereby the stack is submitted to a compression force on at least the top and bottom face and potentially also to two side faces. The assembly is substantially gas tight in an axial direction of the primarily oval or circular shape and can be fitted with gas tight end plates to form robust gas inlet and outlet manifolds.02-02-2012
20100119886METHOD OF PRODUCING A MULTILAYER BARRIER STRUCTURE FOR A SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELL - The present invention provides a method of producing a multilayer barrier structure in a solid oxide cell stack, comprising the steps of: -providing a metal interconnect; -applying a first metal oxide layer on said metal interconnect; -applying a second metal oxide layer on top of said first metal oxide layer; -applying a third metal oxide layer on top of said second metal oxide layer; -forming a solid oxide cell stack comprising said metal interconnect having said metal oxide layers thereon; and -reacting the metal oxide in said first metal oxide layer with the metal of said metal interconnect during the SOC-stack initialisation, and a solid oxide stack comprising an anode contact layer and support structure, an anode layer, an electrolyte layer, a cathode layer, a cathode contact layer, a metallic interconnect, and a multilayer barrier structure which is obtainable by the above method and through an initialisation step, which is carried out under controlled conditions for atmosphere composition and current load, which depends on the layer composition facilitating the formation of the desired reaction products as a dense barrier layer without chromium species migrating to the air-electrode.05-13-2010
20100098994Ferritic Chromium Steel - The present disclosure relates to a ferritic chromium stainless steel with the following composition in percent by weight: C max 0.1, Si 0.1-1, Mn max 0.6, Cr 20-25, Ni max 2, Mo 0.5-2, Nb 0.3-1.5, Ti max 0.5, Zr max 0.5, REM max 0.3, Al max 0.1, N max 0.07 balance Fe and normally occurring impurities, and wherein the content of Zr+Ti is at least 0.2%. The ferritic chromium stainless steel is suitable for use in fuel cells, especially Solid Oxide Fuel Cells.04-22-2010
