20110107082Storing and Forwarding Media Data - A method apparatus for storing and forwarding media data in a communication network. An intermediate node disposed between a media data source node and a client node receives encrypted media data packets from the media data source node. The intermediate node stores the received media data packets in a memory for later sending to the client node, and adjusts fields in the original header of each stored media data packet to create modified media data packets having a modified header, and sends adjustment information to the client node. The adjustment information allows the client node to recreate the original headers from the modified headesr, before decrypting the encrypted media packets with keying materials already sent between the media data source node and the client node. The modified media data packets are then sent to the client node for decryption. This allows the intermediate node to “store and forward” SRTP data without being able to access the encrypted data content.05-05-2011

20100202544Time and frequency channel estimation - A radio channel estimation technique is described for use in a OFDM-based radio communications system. A block of OFDM symbols is transmitted from multiple antennas over multiple sub-carrier frequencies. The block of OFDM symbols includes known pilot symbols as well as data symbols to be determined by a receiver. The pilot symbols are transmitted in a predetermined pattern at periodic times on periodic sub-carriers. A pilot channel estimate is determined for each pilot symbol in the received block of OFDM symbols. An N×M matrix of points corresponding to the received OFDM symbol block is formed. N is the number of sub-carriers and M is the number of OFDM symbols in the OFDM symbol block. The matrix is formed by inserting pilot channel estimates at predetermined positions in the N×M matrix according to the predetermined pilot pattern and inserting zeros in remaining positions in the N×M matrix. A two dimensional inverse Fourier transform of the N×M matrix is calculated resulting in multiple copies of a channel estimate in the time domain. One is selected, and a two dimensional Fourier transform of the selected channel estimate is calculated to obtain a channel estimate at each point in the OFDM block.08-12-2010

Next, for each cell of a cell cluster and in relation to a second group member having the highest resource demand in the considered cell, the relative resource consumption increase if the one or more first group members were assigned to said considered cell is determined. This determination is also carried out for the first cell but disregarding the one or more first group members having the highest resource demand. These one or more first members are then assigned to the cell that is associated with a minimum compensated relative resource consumption increase or a minimum compensated relative resource increase. In one embodiment, the cells are hierarchically structured and the assigent of member of the multicast group cells is allowed to be carried out on different hierarchy layers.02-18-2010
20100034185Radio quality based channel resource management - The present invention provides a quality based resource management fin a radio communications system. 20090052327End-to-end considerate link control and routing in a multihop network - By introducing a novel parameter common to all links along the entire multihop route it is possible to more flexibly allocate, for each of a number of the links, a set of three interdependent link transmit parameters representative of link transmit energy, link transmit time or link transmit bandwidth or link code word consumption, and link transmit power. Basically, the common parameter is determined based on a given end-to-end (ETE) transmit parameter constraint for the entire multihop route. The idea is then to assign or allocate, for each considered link, the three interdependent link transmit parameters based on the common parameter and local link characteristics. In this way, all three link transmit parameters may (and generally will) be different between at least two links on the route when the links have different link characteristics, assuming that each link transmit parameter is also dependent on the local link characteristics. Preferably, the common parameter is determined in the process of optimizing a given objective ETE function.02-26-2009

20080267265Robust Multicode Detector for HSDPA - Detecting a symbol of interest comprises despreading a received signal to obtain despread values corresponding to the symbol of interest and to one or more interfering symbols, combining the despread values to generate combined values for the symbol of interest and the interfering symbols, computing spreading waveform correlations between the spreading waveform for the symbol of interest and the spreading waveforms for the interfering symbols, computing interference rejection terms representing the interference present in the combined value for the symbol of interest attributable to the interfering symbols based on the spreading waveform correlations, and generating an estimate of the symbol of interest by combining the combined values with the interference rejection terms. The interference rejection terms are computed by scaling the spreading waveform correlations by corresponding signal powers and compensating the estimates for noise. This provides a robust interference model that avoids numerical problems associated with conventional joint detection.10-30-2008
20080256272Packet Scheduling for Data Stream Transmission - The invention relates to transmitting data elements of a data stream based on a priority and target buffer fill levels at a receiving device. A transmitter controller transmits data elements of a data element class with a highest priority first, for reaching an associated buffer fill level and then turns to data elements of successively lower priorities, until the available bandwidth is exhausted.10-16-2008
20080256091Prioritising Data Elements of a Data Stream - The invention relates to prioritising of data elements of a data stream for transmission to a receiving device including determining a decodability of data elements, wherein the decodability indicates the extent to which the current data element is decodable at the receiving device. Then, a priority is assigned to the data elements based on the determined decodabilities. A transmission of the data elements to a receiving device is then scheduled based on the priorities.10-16-2008
20080215888Method and Arrangement For Authentication and Privacy - The present invention improves privacy protection and authentication over prior art GAA/GBA system specifying a Bootstrap Server Function (BSF) that creates an Authentication Voucher asserting to a network application function NAF authentication of a. BSF generates keys Ks and Ks NAF with corresponding key identifiers B_TID and B_TID_NAF. In order to prevent tracking of user by collusion between several NAF entities B_TID_NAF and the Voucher can be unique for each NAF. The interface Ua is further protected by encryption using key Ks and the Ub interface is further protected against man-in-the-middle attacks by using signatures with key Ks and provision of freshness. 09-04-2008

20080198554Cooling Assembly - A cooling assembly and method of cooling a heat-generating electronic component on a circuit board. A heat collector collects heat from the electronic component. A heat pipe transfers the heat to a location remote from the electronic component. A heat sink is mounted to the circuit board at the distant location. The heat sink has at least one groove formed on an underside thereof. The heat sink is mounted so that is overlies the heat pipe and the heat pipe is introduced into the groove, thereby securing the heat pipe between the heat sink and the circuit board.08-21-2008
