The motion indicators are calculated from motion vectors corresponding to each of the videos. A predetermined number of highest-ranking videos are selected for display. A method of hosting a video call includes receiving encoded video data including motion vectors. Videos are ranked based on a motion indicator calculated from the motion vectors for each of the videos. Encoded video data is converted to decoded video data, and decoded video data corresponding to a predetermined number of the highest ranking videos is combined to create a single video.||01-08-2015|

The first communication device is configured to communicate with one or more servers responsive to being addressed both with a first unique identifier assigned thereto and a first group unique identifier assigned thereto as a member of the user group.||09-18-2014|
|COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS FOR COMMUNICATING WITH DEVICES HAVING A PLURALITY OF UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS - A communication system comprises a server configured to associate a plurality of communication devices with each other in a user group. Each communication device of the plurality of communication devices is associated with a group-wide individual unique identifier that is unique as to other members of the same group; a network-wide individual unique identifier that is unique as to other communication devices of the network; and a group unique identifier that is shared with the plurality of communication devices of the user group. A method comprises receiving a call request including a group-wide individual unique identifier, and sending an outgoing call to the individual communication device. The group-wide individual unique identifier is unique to an individual communication device within a user group of communication devices that is smaller than a number of communication devices configured for communication on a network.||09-18-2014
|COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS FOR NOTIFYING DEVICES HAVING A PLURALITY OF UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS ABOUT MISSED COMMUNICATIONS - Apparatuses and methods for notifying a group of communication devices about a missed call are disclosed. Each communication device is associated with a group identifier that is shared with all the communication devices in a group. Each communication device is also associated with an individual identifier that is unique to that communication device. An unanswered communication to the group identifier is received on all the communication devices in the group. A first communication device transmits to a remote server an acknowledgement notification that the unanswered communication related to the group identifier has been acknowledged by the user. A clear indicator indicating that the unanswered communication has been acknowledged is transmitted from the remote server to all the devices in the group except the first communication device. Each of the communication devices receiving the clear indicator can then clear its indicator that notifies the user of a missed call.||09-18-2014
|SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS FOR VISUAL INDICATION OF AN OCCURRENCE OF AN EVENT - Systems and methods are disclosed for visually indicating an occurrence of an event. A spatial visual indicator system comprises a spatial visual indicator including a plurality of illuminatable elements configured in at least a two-dimensional arrangement. The spatial visual indicator displays a visual indicator pattern corresponding to a detected event. A control circuit is configured to detect an event, and cause a transceiver to send a communication indicating a visual indicator pattern corresponding to the event to the spatial visual indicator. The spatial visual indicator is configured to display the visual indicator pattern. The spatial visual indicator is located remote to the transceiver. A method of indicating an occurrence of an event comprises receiving a communication indicating one of a plurality of visual indicator patterns that is associated with a detected event. The method also includes displaying the one of the plurality of visual indicator patterns.||09-18-2014
|SYSTEMS INCLUDING AND METHODS OF OPERATING COMMUNICATION DEVICES ASSIGNED INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP IDENTITIES - Systems and methods for operating a plurality of communication devices configured to be associated with a user group. Each communication device of the plurality of communication devices may be configured to communicate with one or more servers both as an individual communication device with an individual unique identifier assigned thereto and as the user group with a group unique identifier assigned thereto.||09-18-2014
|SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS FOR CONTROLLING AUDIO COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN A RELAY SERVICE AND AN AUDIO ENDPOINT - Communication systems and methods for controlling audio communications between a relay service and an audio endpoint with a video endpoint are disclosed. A communication system comprises a relay service configured to engage in video communications with a video endpoint and audio communications with an audio endpoint. The relay service comprises a control circuit configured to receive call control signals from the video endpoint, and automatically control communications between the relay service and the audio endpoint responsive to the call control signals. A communication system includes a video endpoint comprising a user interface configured to transmit call commands to the relay service responsive to user inputs. The call commands are directed to automatically triggering controls at the relay service over audio communications between the relay service and the audio endpoint. A method includes entering video communication with and receiving call commands from a video endpoint, and automatically executing the call commands.||09-18-2014
|METHODS AND APPARATUSES RELATED TO TEXT CAPTION ERROR CORRECTION - Systems and methods related to providing error correction in a text caption are disclosed. A method may comprise displaying a text caption including one or more blocks of text on each of a first device and a second device remote from the first device. The method may also include generating another block of text and replacing a block of text of the text caption with the another block of text. Furthermore, the method may include displaying the text caption on the second device having the block of text of the first text caption replaced by the another block of text.||06-20-2013
|METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MULTI-LINGUAL SUPPORT FOR HEARING IMPAIRED COMMUNICATION - Methods and apparatuses for automated multi-lingual support are described herein. A relay service provides translation services between a hearing-impaired user and a hearing-capable user. The relay service includes a database with one or more entries. Each of the one or more entries is associated with a contact of the hearing-impaired user and includes one or more connection indicators for the contact and one or more spoken languages for the contact. A profile system determines an identified entry in the database using a calling connection indicator associated with the hearing-capable user to compare with the one or more connection indicators. A call distribution system establishes a calling connection over a voice-capable network with the calling connection indicator associated with the hearing-capable user and routes the calling connection to a translator capable in the one or more spoken languages associated with the hearing-capable user determined from the identified entry.||08-23-2012
|METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR TACTILE CALLER IDENTIFICATION IN HEARING-IMPAIRED COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS - Methods and apparatuses for indicating an incoming call on a portable communication device are disclosed. A calling connection indicator is captured from an incoming call. An identified entry is selected from a caller identification list comprising one or more entries, wherein each of the entries is associated with a contact of a user of the portable communication device and includes one or more connection indicators for the contact and a tactile pattern for the contact. The identified entry is selected by matching the calling connection indicator to one of the one or more connection indicators. A tactile pattern is generated for the portable communication device. The tactile pattern includes a predefined tactile pattern associated with the identified entry in the caller identification list or a default tactile pattern if the calling connection indicator does not correlate to any of the connection indicators in the caller identification list.||08-02-2012
