20110066701 | CLIENT-SERVER BIDIRECTIONAL SYNCHRONIZATION VIA BROWSER PLUG IN FOR AN XM RADIO SYSTEM - An XM radio system, a browser plug-in for bidirectional communication in the XM radio system, and method for bidirectional communication between an XM radio receiver, a first computing device and a second computing device is provided. The XM radio system includes an XM radio receiver communicatively connected to a first computing device, a second computing device communicatively connected to the first computing device and a computer program stored on the first computing device. Unresolved bookmarks are transferred from the first computing device to second computing device via the Internet and the resolved bookmarks are bidirectionally communicated from the second computing device to the first computing device via Internet and does not trigger a fire wall. | 03-17-2011 |
20110051716 | TV ACTING AS POTS PHONE SWITCH - A TV receives IP calls and POTS calls. When a POTS call is received the TV passively passes the call to a non-IP phone, and when an IP call is received the TV processes the IP packets as appropriate for the non-IP phone and passes the call to the phone. The non-IP phone can also signal using a special code a desired to place an IP call, with the signals from the phone being rendered into IP packets by the TV. In this way, a non-IP phone may be used to place and receive both POTS calls and IP-based calls. | 03-03-2011 |
20080239122 | System and method for non-invasive conversion of film cameras into digital camera - A system and method for converting a film camera into a digital camera uses an electronic device placed in a space of the camera that normally contains film. The device includes an image sensing array arranged in optical communication with a lens of the camera when a shutter is open. An audio sensor is used to detect sounds within the camera, and an acoustic pattern recognizer with a built-in training mode is used to determine if the detected sounds correspond with the shutter operation. The image sensing array is switched into an image capture mode when the acoustic pattern recognizer determines that the shutter is being opened. When the shutter is opened, a read-out circuit captures multiple image frames from the image sensing array. An image processor associated with the image sensing array processes the captured images using advanced image processing algorithms. | 10-02-2008 |
