20110308832CABLE ENTRY DEVICE FOR WIRING BOXES - Disclosed herein are embodiments of a wiring box. The wiring box can comprise: a cavity formed by walls having an internal surface inside the cavity and an external surface; and a cable entry device disposed through a hole in a first wall of the walls. The cable entry device can comprise: a support element that retains a grommet in the hole, wherein the support element comprises a stop, a grip extending from the stop, and shutters extending from the stop and defining an opening, wherein the opening converges away from the stop, the grip attaches the support element to the first wall, and wherein the grommet comprises a rim, a sidewall extending from the rim and converging toward a diaphragm.12-22-2011
20110204619ELECTRICAL BOX CONDUIT CONNECTORS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME - In one embodiment, the conduit connector comprises a body, a cover, and a slide located in the channel. Optionally, the body can comprising a box engagement region capable of engaging an opening in an enclosure and a channel having body sides that diverge from an inlet end toward an outlet end, wherein the sides have a cover connector. The cover can be disposed across the channel and mated with the cover connector. The slide can optionally comprise slide sides that diverge toward the outlet end, a bore extending into the slide from a first end, and protrusions extending from the slide into the channel and having a size and geometry to engage a groove on a conduit.08-25-2011
20110117760ELECTRICAL BOX - In one embodiment, a female electrical connector comprises a socket having slots and electrical contacts. At least one of the electrical contacts can be movable between an open electrical circuit position where the electrical contacts are not in electrical communication and the socket is electrically inactive and a closed electrical circuit position where the electrical contacts are in electrical communication and the socket is electrically active. In one embodiment, an electrical box can comprise a container formed from a base having sides extending therefrom to define a cavity and the female electrical connector.05-19-2011
20100265715Adjustable, Outdoor Light Unit, and Method for Making and Using the Same - In one embodiment, a light comprises: a body portion, a base, and an electrical power cord connected to the body and capable of establishing electrical communication between the light source and an electricity source. The body portion can comprise a lens, a light source, a reflector, a body connection, and a focusing element. The focusing element can be configured to create relative movement between the light source and the reflector, such that, when in use, a spread of a light beam from the light source can be adjusted. The base comprise can comprise a mounting element and a base connector capable of connecting to the body connection.10-21-2010
20100124849Electrical Box - In one embodiment, an electrical box can comprise: a container formed from a base having sides extending therefrom to define a cavity; a cover configured to cover the cavity when in a closed position; and a female electrical connector disposed in the cavity when the cover is in the closed position. A socket of the female electrical connector can be capable of receiving a male electrical connector. Even when the electrical box is connected to live wiring, when the cover is in an open position, current cannot flow to the socket, and when the cover is in a closed position, current can flow to the socket. In another embodiment, an electrical box can comprise: a container; a cover configured to cover the cavity when in a closed position; and a female electrical connector physically connected to the cover such that the female electrical connector moves as the cover is opened.05-20-2010
20100084854CONDUIT CONNECTOR AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME - A connector can comprise: a body and a clip. The body can comprise a hollow core formed by walls and capable of receiving a conduit, and a side tab extending from the wall. The clip can comprise a transverse portion with an engagement configured to engage the side tab; and a member extending from the transverse portion to the first end and having a protrusion with an engagement surface and an entry surface. The protrusion can be configured to deflect radially inward. Another connector can comprise: a body, a spring clip, and a cable clip. The spring clip can comprise a flexible mid-portion configured to deflect under pressure. The cable clip can comprise a bridge portion with an engagement extending therefrom and configured to engage the side tab, and an arm configured to engage the conduit when disposed in the core.04-08-2010
20100051614Integral Box - In one embodiment, an integral box comprises a base with walls, with plate(s) extending from a side wall(s). Opening(s) in the side wall(s) and/or the base allow wiring to pass into the box. This box is formed as a single, unitary component.03-04-2010
20090218131CONDUIT CONNECTOR - In an embodiment, a conduit connector can comprise: a body comprising a box engagement region capable of engaging an opening in an enclosure and a spring configured to engage the connector and the enclosure. The box engagement region can have a root surface, a leading tab, and a follower tab wherein the root surface and leading tab can be located between a leading edge and a secondary edge. A leading tab perimeter edge and a follower tab perimeter edge define a tab perimeter diameter that is larger than an opening in the enclosure. When the leading tab is inserted into the enclosure the spring can be disposed to engage the secondary edge and the enclosure.09-03-2009
