20110116663MAGNETOSTRICTIVE MICROLOUDSPEAKER - An acoustic actuator comprises a support layer (05-19-2011
20100220880HEARING AID COMPRISING PARTS MADE OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE AND SIMULTANEOUSLY SOUND-ABSORBENT MATERIAL - A hearing aid has parts made of electrically conductive and simultaneously sound-absorbent material. These parts are at the same time used as sound-absorbent elements of the design of the hearing aid, the housing thereof or the components thereof and as electrical contacts.09-02-2010
20100182510SPECTRAL SMOOTHING METHOD FOR NOISY SIGNALS - A smoothing method for suppressing fluctuating artifacts in the reduction of interference noise includes the following steps: providing short-term spectra for a sequence of signal frames, transforming each short-term spectrum by way of a forward transformation which describes the short-term spectrum using transformation coefficients that represent the short-term spectrum subdivided into its coarse and fine structures; smoothing the transformation coefficients with the respective same coefficient indices by combining at least two successive transformed short-term spectra; and transforming the smoothed transformation coefficients into smoothed short-term spectra by way of a backward transformation.07-22-2010
20100158289METHOD FOR OPERATING A HEARING AID SYSTEM AND HEARING AID SYSTEM WITH A SOURCE SEPARATION DEVICE - A method for operating a hearing aid system and a hearing aid system with a source separation device, include at least one hearing aid in which interference signals are intended to be suppressed and useful signals are intended to be accentuated with justifiable computational complexity. Source-specific reception signals are first of all generated and analyzed by the source separation device, in particular a BSS unit. Then, parameter settings for operating the hearing aid which effect the suppression of interference signals or the accentuation of useful signals are derived from the result of the analysis. An output signal generated by the hearing aid does not emerge directly from the source-specific reception signals and therefore a periodic operation of the BSS unit suffices and signal processing in real time is not necessarily required in the BSS unit.06-24-2010
20100150385HEARING AID WHICH CAN BE WORN IN THE EAR WITH A DIRECTIONAL MICROPHONE - Feedback should be prevented effectively in a hearing aid which can be worn in the ear. To this end, the arrangement of two microphones, electrically interconnected to form a directional microphone, and a receiver is proposed along a straight line. The directional effect of the directional microphone is set such that, when viewed from the directional microphone, the receiver is arranged in the direction of the lowest sensitivity of the directional microphone. This can effectively suppress feedback even though the hearing aid has a relatively simple design.06-17-2010
20100092001COUPLER FOR OPEN FITTING HEARING AID MEASUREMENTS - In a system and method for open fitting hearing aid frequency response sound measurements, a test space is provided having located therein a sound source, a hearing aid with a microphone, and an open fit receiver. An acoustic shield is provided and within the acoustic shield an ear simulator coupler is provided having an ear extension attached thereto, the ear extension having mounted thereto at least a portion of the open fit receiver. A measurement unit receives sound signals from the ear simulator coupler.04-15-2010
20100002896Hearing Aid Having an Occlusion Reduction Unit and Method for Occlusion Reduction - A method is described for reduction of occlusion effects in an acoustic appliance which closes an auditory channel, wherein an audio signal in the transmission path of the acoustic appliance is processed by a signal processing unit and is emitted via an output transducer, which is arranged in the auditory channel, as an acoustic signal. A resultant sound signal is then detected by an auditory channel microphone and is supplied to a variable loop filter, which is arranged in a feedback loop of an occlusion reduction unit for the acoustic appliance. The output signal from the loop filter is injected into the transmission path of the audio signal. The occlusion reduction unit is in this case controlled adaptively, with at least one signal from the transmission path of the audio signal and/or from the feedback loop being used to control the loop filter for the occlusion reduction unit.01-07-2010
20090315787ANTENNA ARRANGEMENT FOR HEARING DEVICE APPLICATIONS - A device having an electric antenna and a magnetic antenna is described, the antennas being spatially arranged in immediate mutual proximity. The electric antenna has at least one current-carrying electric conductor which acts as a resonator for the electric antenna, while the magnetic antenna has a coil with at least one current-carrying conductor loop which acts as an inductor of the magnetic antenna. Thus the electric antenna and the magnetic antenna are spatially arranged relative to each other such that the direction of the current in the electric conductor of the electric antenna extends substantially at right angles to the direction of the current in the conductor loop of the magnetic antenna.12-24-2009
