20100111954USE OF IL-23 AND IL-17 ANTAGONISTS TO TREAT AUTOIMMUNE OCULAR INFLAMMATORY DISEASE - Novel methods and drug products for treating autoimmune ocular inflammatory disease are disclosed, which involve administration of agents that antagonize one or both of IL-17 and IL-23 activity.05-06-2010
20090305411RECOMBINANT ANTIBODIES AND IMMUNOCONJUGATES TARGETED TO CD-22 BEARING CELLS AND TUMORS - Methods and compositions relating to anti-CD22 antibodies with high binding affinity, and immunoconjugates comprising the anti-CD22 antibody linked to a therapeutic agent such as a 12-10-2009
20090130112SPATIAL FOR ALTERING CELL PROLIFERATION - This disclosure provides methods useful for altering cell proliferation by modifying SPATIAL activity in cells. In some methods, thymocyte numbers in subjects with disease-associated immunodeficiencies are increased by administering an agent that inhibits SPATIAL activity. Also provided are methods useful for increasing thymocyte number in a subject by administering an agent that interferes with an interaction between SPATIAL and Uba3. In other methods, cell growth is inhibited by introducing or expressing a SPATIAL or SPATIAL-related polypeptide or nucleic acid in one or more cell(s), such as neoplastic cell(s). Further provided are methods of identifying agents that modify (for example, inhibit) SPATIAL expression or activity, or which interfere with an interaction between SPATIAL and Uba3 polypeptides, and therefore which are useful in influencing thymocyte number.05-21-2009
20090054256METHOD EVOLVED FOR RECOGNITION OF THROMBOPHILIA (MERT) - Methods for predicting an individual's genetic risk for developing venous thrombosis in diverse ethnic populations is disclosed, as are arrays and kits which can be used to practice the method. The method includes screening for mutations, polymorphisms, or both, in at least eight venous thrombosis-related molecules, such as antithrombin III, protein C, protein S, fibrinogen, factor V, prothrombin (factor II), methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR), and angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) molecules which are associated with venous thrombosis.02-26-2009
20090053734DETERMINATION OF AM-BINDING PROTEINS AND THE ASSOCIATION OF ADRENOMEDULLIN (AM) THEREWITH - The present invention provides methods for the isolation, identification, and purification of adrenomedullin (AM)-binding proteins. Also, provided are methods for utilizing the purified AM-binding proteins, or functional portions thereof, to diagnose, treat, and monitor AM-related diseases, for example, diseases or disorders associated with abnormally elevated AM levels. In addition, the present invention provides a newly identified complex between AM and a specific AM-binding protein 1 (AMBP-1); which has been isolated and identified herein as factor H (fH). The invention also provides AM/AMBP complexes, particularly AM/FH complexes, and antibodies specifically reactive with this complexes. Further provided are methods for identifying and purifying complexes of AM and an AM binding protein using anti-AM/fH antibodies, and methods for treating conditions such as cancer or diabetes utilizing compositions comprising these antibodies. The present invention additionally provides methods for identifying antagonists agents that inhibit the function of AM, factor H, or the AM/factor H complex. The invention also provides methods for treating conditions such as cancer or diabetes using these antagonist agents.02-26-2009
