A frame is mounted on a base, preferably by pinned connections. A carriage is mounted in the frame and is vertically positioned by one or more hydraulic cylinders. Attached to the carriage are one or more positioning arms, in such a manner that the positioning arms can be pivoted in a vertical plane. The positioning arms can be pivoted by extension and retraction of hydraulic cylinders connecting the carriage and the positioning arms. A power swivel is held by the positioning arms.
