20110052058ARTIFACTS MEASUREMENT ON VIDEO DECOMPOSABLE PROPERTIES BY DYNAMIC FUZZY REASONING - To determine if a pixel exhibits artifacts, statistics are generated for the pixel and its neighbors. These statistics are compared with thresholds. If the comparison of the statistics and the thresholds suggests that the pixel exhibits a pixel artifact, then recourse can be taken, either to adjust the pixel value in some way, or to reject the angle of interpolation used in computing the value for the target pixel.03-03-2011
20110013081SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING A NON-VIDEO SOURCE IN VIDEO SIGNALS - A video sequence may include a modality corresponding with an embedded pattern. At least one state machine detects the modality in accordance with difference signals. A signal generator generates the difference signals responsive to decision windows that define regions of interest in the video sequence. The modality may correspond with an embedded film source or other pattern types in the video sequence. Where the state machine detects more than one pattern, a single pattern is selected according to a predetermined priority. The video sequence may contain both static patterns and embedded film source patterns. The state machine discerns the presence of the embedded film source patterns notwithstanding the presence of the static patterns.01-20-2011
20090268104KEYSTONE CORRECTION DERIVED FROM THE PARAMETERS OF PROJECTORS - A projector determines horizontal and vertical tilt angles. Using the tilt angles and the inherent properties of the projector, keystone correction corner points for the image can be computed. The keystone correction corner points can be used to perform keystone correction on the image.10-29-2009
