The plurality of shredders, the discharge mechanism and the blower are configured to operate on a single 15 ampere, 110 volt a.c. power supply. The coated fabric cover includes a first fastening portion disposed along a first end of the insulation panel and a second fastening portion disposed between the first end and a second end of the insulation panel. The first end of the insulation panel overlaps the second end of the insulation panel when the insulation panel is installed on a pipeline or other structure. Additionally, the foams may include one or more plasticizer, a non-functionalized resin, a surfactant, and/or a thickening agent or rheology modifier. The amide oligomer does not contain any isocyanate groups, and, as a result, there are no free isocyanate moieties generated during formation of the foam that may be potentially hazardous to workers installing the foam. The presence of the urethane segments on the oligomer permits for the generation of a polyurethane foam without the drawbacks of conventional polyurethane foams. The latex foam includes a functionalized latex, a crosslinking agent and a blowing agent package, and optionally a non-functionalized latex. The foamable compositions may be two-part, having an A-side and a B-side to keep reactants separate until use. The blowing agent package may be the combination of two or more chemicals, such as acid and base, that when mixed together form a gas. In two-part compositions, the acid and base preferably are in separate sides to prevent premature gassing; in alternative one-part compositions, the spray latex foam may include a functionalized latex, a crosslinking agent, and an encapsulated dry acid and dry base. The encapsulating agent may be a protective, non-reactive shell that can be broken or melted at the time of application. The acid and/or base are preferably dry powder particulates, for example milled bicarbonate having a median particle diameter of from about 0.5 to about 40 microns, e.g. from about 2 to about 40 microns or from about 0.5 to about 5 microns.09-15-2011

The overlay member includes an upper or headlap portion and a lower or exposed butt portion with one or more generally rectangular-shaped tabs separated by relatively narrow cutouts. In one embodiment, the width of each tab is randomly selected. Preferably, the entire front surface of the underlay member is coated with a layer of relatively dark granules to enhance the slate simulating aspect of the shingle. In. another embodiment, the overlay member also includes a layer of relatively dark granules randomly applied to the upper and lower edges of the tabs. A wax is added to the partially blown non-coating grade asphalt to further raise its softening point to a second softening point that is within the target softening point range to produce the coating asphalt. The wax may also be added during the blowing process. Resulting roofing coating asphalt compositions may comprise a paving grade asphalt and a wax, and yet still has desirable penetration, softening point and viscosity.08-18-2011

The propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate, or butylene carbonate acts as a cell enlarger to increase the average cell size of the foamed product, as a process aid, as a plasticizer, and lowers the die pressure. The inventive foam composition produces extruded foams that have insulation values (R-values) that are equal to or better than conventional extruded, closed cell foams produced with 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane (HCFC-142b). In exemplary embodiments, less than 4% of the cells are open cells. A method of forming an extruded foam product is also provided.06-16-2011

In at least one exemplary embodiment, the composition contains one or more aldehyde-containing compounds and a liquid carrier. The aldehyde-containing compound(s) has a molecular weight greater than 100 daltons and may be chosen from vanillin or cinnamaldehyde. The ketone-containing compound(s) has a molecular weight greater than 100 daltons, and in exemplary embodiments, from about 120 to about 1,000 daltons. Undesirable odors from hot asphalt are reduced by the composition without adversely affecting the physical and performance properties of the asphalt or decreasing the flash point of the asphalt. The composition may be added to asphalt in a molten or semi-molten form to reduce or eliminate unpleasant odors and form a low odor asphalt.12-24-2009
