20110056782HYDRAULIC ROTARY DAMPER FOR VEHICLE - The invention relates to a pressurized hydraulic rotation damper intended for use on a multiwheeled vehicle. The rotation damper comprises an outer housing and a lid that together enclose a damping-medium-filled main chamber, which chamber is pressurized by a pressure tank and divided by a delimiting blade/arm into two volumes. The damping medium flows between the two volumes in a duct delimited by at least a first valve and a second valve. These valves throttle the flow between the volumes when the blade moves in an inward and outward motion respectively, starting from an intermediate position where the two volumes are substantially equal in size, to an outer position, in which the blade bears against or is placed close to the inner face of the outer housing. The first valve controls the flow for outward motions and the second valve is used to control the flow for inward motions to either pass through the first valve, through the second valve or through both valves.03-10-2011

A second piston/damping piston that contains one or more first and second through-ducts is mounted to the piston rod. The ducts are defined by first and second flow-limiting devices such as multiple thin washers. The damping piston slides in a restricting space located in the damping cylinder. The restricting space has an inside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the damping cylinder. The additional counter-force is substantially constant throughout the entire stroke in order to create gentle braking of the damping movement.01-27-2011
20110017557SHOCK ABSORBER WITH DUAL PISTON - A shock absorber comprising a damping cylinder is divided into a first damping chamber and a second damping chamber by a main piston device. The main piston device comprises a first main piston and a second main piston. The main pistons comprise continuous ducts that are delimited in a direction of flow by first and second flow limiters. The main pistons are mounted on a piston rod. The piston rod has an axially extending and continuous cavity through which damping medium can flow between a pressurized chamber and a respective damping chamber. The damping medium flows via an interspace delimited by the first main piston and the second main piston out into the damping chambers via pressurization ducts delimited by the first flow limiters. The first flow limiters lift axially from the main piston with substantially maintained external form in the opening process so that a flow path is created both between the main piston and the whole or parts of the inner periphery of the first flow limiter as well as between the main piston and the outer periphery of the first flow limiter.01-27-2011
20100084833STEERING DAMPER AND DEVICE FOR MOUNTING A STEERING DAMPER - A steering clamper designed for use on a vehicle handlebar connected to a part rotatable about a steering axle coinciding with the center of a steering column. The steering damper comprises an outer housing enclosing a damping-medium-filled main chamber divided into two chambers by a demarcating wing rotatable about a first wing end. The outer face of the wing end rotates in a cutout in the housing. The first wing end is fixed to a first end of a lever which rotates relative to said outer housing. The lever connects, the steering damper rotating with the steering device to the vehicle frame. In the outer housing there is a cavity, the center line of which coincides with the steering axle, designed to accommodate a fastening element which joins the steering damper to the part rotatable about the steering axle.04-08-2010

20090314592DAMPER DEVICE AND MANUFACTURE OF SUCH A DAMPER DEVICE - A damper device is manufactured from a single integrated body. The damper device comprises a damping chamber portion, a valve housing portion with adjustable valve devices and a pressurization reservoir portion. The internal volume of the damping chamber portion is divided by a piston into a compression chamber and a return chamber and the internal volume of the pressurization reservoir portion is divided by a member that is acted upon by a pressure that pressurizes the damping medium in the device. The three different portions are arranged substantially parallel to one another and the internal volume of the valve housing is connected both to the pressurized interior of the pressurization reservoir and to both chambers of the damping chamber part so that the damper always functions with a positive pressure in both the compression and the return chamber. The body is extruded as a single workpiece with alternating heat-conducting channels and fins on its outer surface.12-24-2009

20090260934SHOCK ABSORBER HAVING RESILIENT DEVICE IN REBOUND CHAMBER - A shock absorber comprises a damping cylinder pressurized by a system pressure and divided by a piston into a compression chamber and a return chamber. A resilient device is disposed in the return chamber. The resilient device comprises a pressurizing member or pressurizing medium disposed in an inner volume that is delimited from the return chamber. The resilient device acts upon the damping medium volume in the return chamber such that the pressure initially during a compression stroke does not fall below a predetermined minimum pressure. As long as the pressure in the return chamber is less than the pressure created by the resilient device, the device is able to absorb energy. When the pressure in the return chamber is greater than the pressure created by the resilient device, the device becomes inflexible. The resilient device compensates for pressure reduction in the return chamber that occurs under rapid damping movements and that can cause cavitation during a compression stroke.10-22-2009
