| 20110138918 | Method of Assessing Bolted Joint Integrity - A method of assessing bolted joint integrity. A guided wave is sent through a structure containing at least one bolted joint. The guided wave that is subsequently propagated through the structure and interacted with the bolted joint is measured to obtain a measured result. At least one parameter of the guided wave after its travel through the structure, and after having been affected by a nonlinear acoustic behavior of the bolted joint, is analyzed. Either at least one guided wave parameter is compared to a wave propagation pattern of the bolted joint at a correct torque level, or variation of at least one guided wave parameter is compared, to determine changes in wave propagation time and/or wave propagation shape. An incorrect torque level of the bolted joint is inferred from any changes that are determined. | 06-16-2011 |
| 20110107086 | SECURE AUTHENTICATION AND PRIVACY OF DATA COMMUNICATION LINKS VIA DYNAMIC KEY SYNCHRONIZATION - A dynamic computer system security method and system using dynamic encryption and full synchronization between system nodes. A data record from a data stream created by a source user is encrypted with an initial dynamic session key. A new dynamic session key is generated based upon a data record and a previous dynamic session key. The new dynamic session key is then used to encrypt the next data record. A central authority is used to synchronize and authenticate both source and destination users with dynamic authentication keys. The central authority and users constantly regenerate new dynamic authentication keys. A child process is forked to ensure synchronization and authentication of dynamic authentication keys of each node upon a request for a secure communication establishment from a user. The central authority generates the initial dynamic session key with the current dynamic authentication key to begin a secure communication session. | 05-05-2011 |
| 20100294023 | Propellant Ignition Testing Apparatus Having a Compressively Sealable Chamber - A propellant ignition testing apparatus having a compressively sealable chamber. A fixed end plate assembly is fixedly mounted on a support structure. A test chamber assembly having a combustion chamber for accommodating propellant is provided, and an initiator ignites propellant accommodated in the combustion chamber. A moveable end plate is disposed adjacent to the test chamber assembly on a side thereof remote from the fixed end plate assembly. A device is mounted on the support structure for generating a compressive force, with the moveable end plate being operatively connected to a moveable component of the device for moving the moveable end plate toward the test chamber assembly for sandwiching the combustion chamber of the test chamber assembly in a compressively sealed manner between the fixed end plate assembly and the moveable end plate. | 11-25-2010 |
