20110062403Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier System - An anti-ram vehicle barrier system adapted to arrest an impacting vehicle of substantial mass within a selected distance of the barrier. The distance is approximately 36 inches for a vehicle having a mass of at least about 15,000 pounds and traveling at least about 30 mph upon impact with the barrier. The barrier system includes a fence portion and/or a gate for selectively allowing passage through an entry port. The fence portion includes a pair of terminal posts positioned in and secured to the ground in a spaced apart relationship and cables connected between the terminal posts. The gate includes a cable extending across a panel that is connected on opposing ends to opposing posts positioned on opposite sides of the entry point. For passage the panel is moved relative to the posts. The panel is moved vertically relative to the ground in some embodiments and laterally in other embodiments.03-17-2011
20090003932Vehicle Barrier Fence - An example of a vehicle barrier system for arresting an impacting vehicle of substantial mass within a selected distance of the fence includes a pair of terminal posts positioned in and secured to the ground in a spaced apart relationship; at least three cables, each cable having opposing terminal ends hingedly connected respectively to each of the terminal posts, the at least three cables held in tension a distance above a grade of the ground and vertically spaced apart from one another in relation to the grade; and a line post secured in the ground and positioned between the pair of terminal posts, the line post holding a portion of each of the cables.01-01-2009
20080247820Cable-Release Anchor Assembly - An assembly for releasing tension in a cable includes a mounting plate holding the cable in tension, the mounting plate oriented substantially parallel to the cable when it is in tension; and a leveraging member having a base positioned between the mounting plate and the cable and a leg extending upward from the base relative to the ground surface, wherein the leveraging member leverages the cable from holding connection with the mounting plate when it is impacted with a sufficient force.10-09-2008
