The dome piece contains a strainer. The consumer can separate the dome from the vessel and add ice to the mixed beverage to cool the beverage prior to consumption, and can strain the ice from the beverage before drinking it directly from the top opening of the dome, after it has been resealed to the vessel. The disclosed beverage container can be filled by beverage bottling facilities in varying sizes and neck formations.
