20110061353FILTER ELEMENT CONSTRUCTIONS - A filter element comprises a pleated filter (03-17-2011
20100297386BELT SEAMS - A clipper seam for joining the ends of a belt, are connected by interdigitated staples which are looped about a pintle and provide barbs on their remote ends to penetrate into the material of the belt. Each end is covered by an edge strip of vinyl by radio frequency welding, and a flap is attached to one end on the low pressure side of the belt by a portion, and folded over to cover the seam on the low pressure side by means of a flap which extends beyond the seam area of the other end. A central area to each side of the seam is impregnated with polyurethane to resist abrasion which tends to concentrate in this area.11-25-2010
20090145094FLUID BED DRYER FILTERS - A fluidised bed filter comprises a drying pan, and a filter assembly having a membrane over the pan, and a plurality of openings in the membrane. A filter bag is secured to each aperture by means of a clamping ring attached to the rim of the respective aperture, and cooperating with a clamping band within the cuff of the bag. The material of the bag is clamped between the ring and the band. The ring is covered in a cloth strip, which is folded over to produce a flap, which is stitched between the layers of a double fabric forming the membrane. The band is retained in a tunnel formed by a fold in a double fabric forming the filter bag by stitching.06-11-2009
20080314012 Filter Elements - A ceramic filter element is formed from a flocculated slurry predominantly containing inorganic fibres, of 100-150 μm length and 1-5 μm thickness. The slurry also contains inorganic yarn in lengths of from 10 mm or greater, e.g. 10-150 mm and thickness 0.1-0.5 mm diameter. The slurry is formed in water with colloidal silica and starch added to flocculate the slurry. The flocculated slurry is then injected to a mould comprising an appropriately shaped mesh form, and water removed by vacuum, and the filter thus formed dried in an oven for 8-12 hours at 120° C. The addition of yarns, which may be glass or alumina mono or multifilament yarns, increases the shock resistance of the ceramic filter element produced.12-25-2008
20080290019Scavenging Filter - A scavenging filter includes a volume containing activated beads or fiber particles of a scavenging material housed in a removable housing in a cartridge filter body having an axial inlet extending to a space below a permeable false bottom, the fluid permeating upwards through the material, and cleaned liquor leaving via an annular space surrounding the chamber.11-27-2008
