The wheel may have a photoluminescent ribbon mounted thereto, not in a protective groove. The ribbon may be mounted to a lateral side of the wheel's spokes and/or mounted in the “plane” of the spokes between the spokes. The wheel may have an attachment secured to one or more spokes, with the attachment having photoluminescent material. The attachment may have a main body with a groove therein, with the main body being bendable to be substantially conformable to a curvature of the rim.
