20150308409 | MOUNTABLE WIND TURBINE - A wind turbine configured to be mountable to a support post includes a first support element having a first track positioned around a central axis and configured to be connectable to the support post. A fan assembly is engaged with the first support element and is rotatable relative thereto. The fan assembly includes a plurality of first trolleys each being coupled to the first support element and spaced relative to each other. The plurality of first trolleys are traversable along the first track to cause rotation of the fan assembly relative to the first support element. A plurality of fan blades are coupled to respective ones of the plurality of first trolleys. At least one off-axis electrical generator is engaged with the fan assembly and includes at least one rotating gear driven by at the fan assembly when the fan assembly rotates relative to the first support element. | 10-29-2015 |
20140252773 | SPLIT COLLAR MOUNTABLE WIND TURBINE - The present invention relates to a split collar mountable turbine that can be assembled in two separate halves and adapted to be attached circumferentially around existing structures such as electrical pole, light poles and traffic poles. Top and bottom attachment rings each comprise first and second arcuate elements adapted to interconnect circumferentially about an axis to form two rings formed in spaced relation. A fan blade housing ring comprising first and second arcuate elements, adapted to interface into complimentary slots within the top and bottom rings, and also adapted to interconnect circumferentially about an axis to form a fan blade housing ring and is received in complimentary slots The fan blade housing ring moves in tracks located in the top and bottom rings by magnetic levitation. Located within the fan blade housing are two pair of off-axis electrical generators each having rotating gears wherein said rotating gears are driven by rotation of said fan blade housing which the drives the generators in order for the generator to produce electricity. A series of set screws and set guides affixed to the top and bottom rings can be adjusted to engage and be supported by a structure that is collared in the open center of the cylindrical wind turbine. | 09-11-2014 |
20140252770 | SPLIT COLLAR MOUNTABLE WIND TURBINE - A split collar mountable turbine is assembled in two separate halves and circumferentially attachable around existing structures. Top and bottom attachment rings each comprise first and second arcuate elements adapted to interconnect circumferentially about an axis to form two rings formed in spaced relation. A fan blade housing ring adapted to interface into complimentary slots within the top and bottom rings is received in complimentary slots and moves in tracks located in the top and bottom rings by magnetic levitation. The turbine further includes two pair of off-axis electrical generators each having rotating gears driven by rotation of said fan blade housing for producing electricity. A series of set screws and set guides affixed to the top and bottom rings can be adjusted to engage and be supported by a structure that is collared in the open center of the cylindrical wind turbine. | 09-11-2014 |
