The storage box comprises: a container portion capable of holding a liquid; a holding area substantially within the container portion and for placing the at least one of a dental prosthesis and a dental appliance; a cover for placing over the container portion; and an external covering material substantially covering the container portion and the cover. In another embodiment, a separator divides the holding area in two or more parts. In another embodiment, the cover comprises a groove in which a seal can be lodged to hermetically seal the opening upon closure of the cover.
