The recordable device is coupled by a removable and/or disposable cable or by a wireless connection to an electronic device such as a computer, MP3 player or other processing device capable of transferring files. A user records or downloads one or more music, voice or audio file(s) he or she wants to transfer to the recordable device on the greeting card and subsequently transfers the file(s) to the recordable device. In the case where the user utilizes a cable, the user then removes, cuts or tears the cable from the greeting card.
