20120029486NASAL ASPIRATOR - A nasal aspirator comprising a resilient bulb and a stem for suction of liquids by vacuum created by compressing the bulb and thereafter gradually releasing the compression of the bulb, where the stem is removable connected to the bulb part, wherein the bulb part comprises a neck portion adopted to interact with a cap portion of the stem part to create a substantially airtight connection there between.02-02-2012
20100221689Medical Patient Simulator - Medical patient simulator comprising a torso that contains an artificial lung, a chest skin and means for pulling the chest skin downward in an area corresponding with an area where such retractions occur on a human being. The simulator also provides for changes in the compliance of the lung. The lung is situated between two plates, the spacing of which can be adjusted. The torso has one actuator on each side of the back to simulate muscular activity. It includes a system for control of pneumatic functions by measuring a representative pressure for each actuator and stopping the filling when a pre-set pressure is reached. It also includes a head with one or more air cushions in a fontanelle area on the head, which may be filled with air to simulate an increased pressure in the brain.09-02-2010
20100036266DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING HEART BEATS USING AIRWAY PRESSURE - Embodiments are directed to a device and method for detecting heart beats and/or monitoring ventilation and/or respiration of a patient using air pressure. In one embodiment, a monitoring device comprises a gas duct and at least one pressure sensor configured to measure pressure in the duct. The duct may be in fluid communication with a patients airways. Based on the sensed pressure, a heart beat of the patient may be detected. In another embodiment, a flow rate of the air expired from the patient may be calculated based on the pressure and a known flow resistance.02-11-2010
20090291421SIMULATOR FOR MEDICAL TRAINING WITH DETACHABLE SELF-SEALING HOLLOW MEMBER - Simulator for medical training having at least a detachable, fluid-tight hollow member comprising: 11-26-2009
20090215011METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR PROVIDING A SIMULATION WITH ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF EVENTS - A method, computer system and computer program product for providing a computer simulation that provides advance notification of expected events or states, comprising running a first computer simulation; running a second computer simulation corresponding to said first simulation, said second simulation having progressed further than said first simulation; and using said second computer simulation to provide information representing expected future events in said first simulation.08-27-2009
20090149771Vessel locator - The present invention is a vessel detector comprising a sensor, a display and an access device for positioning the sensor in a detection area. According to the invention the sensor device is an impedance sensor. The invention comprises also a method for locating vessels comprising impedance measuring.06-11-2009
20080314386Ventilation device for reducing hyperventilation - A ventilation device is disclosed including a self-inflating bag which when compressed produces an outgoing flow, an inlet and an outlet and at least one valve connected to the inlet and/or outlet. The valve is disposed to control the flow out of the air outlet. One or more sensors positioned to sense air flow through the inlet or outlet produce outputs that are used by a controller to control opening and closing of the at least one valve to reduce hyperventilation.12-25-2008
20080312565Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Sensor - The present invention provides a CPR sensor that includes a thin and substantially flat flexible substrate having one or more sensor arrays, a power source, an output interface and a processor or analog circuit, all of which are disposed on the substantially flat flexible substrate. The substrate can be any shape (e.g., rectangular, circular, a polygon, an irregular shape that is decorative) and made from a polymer, metal film or other suitable material. Note that the substrate can be rigid or semi-flexible instead of flexible. A protective layer may cover the sensor array, the power source, and the processor or analog circuit. Alternatively, a protective covering can be used to encapsulate the device. The one or more sensor arrays measure one or more of the following compressions characteristics: compression depth, compression force, compression frequency and compression acceleration.12-18-2008
20080293028Breathing Manikin - A medical training manikin (11-27-2008
20080215102Method and system aiding decision making during CPR - An embodiment of the invention is a method for recommending actions to be taken during resuscitation of a patient. Input signals related to the resuscitation are received during the resuscitation. The input signals are processed to generate output signals based on the input signals and predetermined criteria. The output signals are representative of the actions to be taken and are provided for further action.09-04-2008
