This sleeve is provided with through-flow conduits which can cooperate with apertures, which are fitted at a vertical distance, of a part of the piston in order to provide an auxiliary flow when the piston is displaced in the cylinder. Such auxiliary flow enters into a chamber which is delimited by one or more spring plates which act on a sleeve which loads the main valve against opening when it is pressed down by the spring plate. By filling the chamber with fluid, the load applied on the sleeve by the spring plate is reduced and the load on the main valve decreases, as a result of which the latter opens more readily.||07-19-2012|

The piston which divides the cylinder into two chambers is provided with non-return valves which operate in both directions and are configured as characteristic. A sleeve extends from the bottom of the cylinder which is displaceable in the interior of the piston/piston rod and one end of which is connected to a reservoir and the other end of which may be connected to one of the chambers. In addition, a bottom valve is present in the cylinder. The combination of sleeve/bottom valve is fitted in such a manner that when the piston moves inwards in the cylinder, the liquid volume which has to be displaced is moved by additional rod volume which enters the cylinder via the sleeve in the reservoir. |20100193310||YAW DAMPER WITH PUMP - Yaw damper for damping yaw motions between two vehicle parts. This includes in the customary manner a piston part and a cylinder part, wherein that piston part is provided with a piston which divides that cylinder part into two chambers. Between these two chambers, connecting lines are present. The embodiment of these connecting lines determines the damping characteristic which governs the motion between the piston and the cylinder part. Especially for vehicle parts which move at higher speeds and/or high frequencies, such as train sets, it is desirable to provide a damper which is as stiff as possible. For this purpose, the present invention proposes the installation of pumping elements which, as far as possible, increase the pressure in the chambers which are formed by the piston in the cylinder part. |20100000832||LOW-NOISE SHOCK ABSORBER - Shock absorber provided with a piston having a number of constantly open connecting channels which connect the two sides of the piston, and having a number of connecting channels to be opened and closed by element of a valve. The valve includes a plate valve which under the influence of flow therethrough, i.e. the pressure difference over the piston, on the outward movement of the shock absorber can be closed to a greater or lesser extent. On the inward movement, unimpeded flow of fluid through the piston can occur. A flow-through path is bounded by the corresponding connecting channels and the valve together with the upper side of the piston. In the rest position there is a flow-through possibility for fluid when the shock absorber fixings move away from each other, and when the shock absorber fixings move away from each other more quickly the flow-through cross section gradually decreases until the valve closes completely.||01-07-2010|
