20120073121METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DISK DRIVE HEAD SUSPENSION - A method for manufacturing a disk drive head suspension having a plated load point dimple. An aperture is etched into the spring metal member. A photoresist mask having an opening with load point-defining side walls and a load point diameter is formed over a portion of a spring metal member including the aperture. Metal is plated onto the spring metal member and into the aperture in the opening to form a load point having the load point diameter on the spring metal member.03-29-2012
20110162203MULTI-LAYER GROUND PLANE STRUCTURES FOR INTEGRATED LEAD SUSPENSIONS - Multi-layer ground plane structures and methods of manufacture for integrated lead suspension flexures. A flexure in accordance with one embodiment of the invention includes an insulating layer, a plurality of traces on the insulating layer and a stainless steel base layer on the side of the insulating layer opposite the traces. The stainless steel base layer includes one or more void portions with voids in the base layer opposite the insulating layer from the traces and one or more backed portions with the base layer backing the traces. A plurality of patterned and transversely-spaced first conductive ground planes are located opposite the insulating layer from the traces at the void portions and backed portions of the stainless steel base layer. A continuous gold second conductive ground plane is located opposite the insulating layer and the first ground planes from the side of the insulating layer adjacent to the traces at the void portions and backed portions of the stainless steel base layer. The gold ground plane can be used as an etch stop during formation of the voids in the base layer.07-07-2011
20110102791RADIATION RESISTANT SPECTROMETER INTERFACE - Devices, systems, and methods for measuring tissue oxygen saturation are disclosed. An illustrative spectrometer for interfacing an optical sensor with a display unit includes a number of measurement radiation sources, a number of radiation source fibers each optically coupled to one of the measurement radiation sources, a reflected radiation fiber optically coupled to the optical sensor, a measurement radiation output fiber including an image fiber, and a radiation mixing bar intermediate the radiation source fibers and the measurement radiation output fiber.05-05-2011
20110026166MULTI-LAYER GROUND PLANE STRUCTURES FOR INTEGRATED LEAD SUSPENSIONS - Multi-layer ground plane structures and methods of manufacture for integrated lead suspension flexures. A plurality of first conductive ground planes are located between the stainless steel base layer and the insulating layer opposite the insulating layer from the traces at the backed portions of the stainless steel base layer. A continuous second conductive ground plane is located opposite the insulating layer from the traces at the void portions and backed portions of the stainless steel base layer.02-03-2011
20110000877HEAD SUSPENSION FLEXURE WITH INLINE LEAD PORTIONS - An integrated lead head suspension flexure including a plurality of integrated leads each including at least one lead portion unbacked by the flexure spring metal layer and configured to be substantially inline with the general plane of the spring metal layer. The leads are disposed on a dielectric layer including an unbacked dielectric layer portion having a surface positioned between the major surfaces of the spring metal layer.01-06-2011
20100210929PORTABLE ST02 SPECTROMETER - Devices, systems, and methods for measuring tissue oxygen saturation (StO08-19-2010
20090287071PATIENT INTERFACE FOR SPECTROSCOPY APPLICATIONS - A patient interface and method of locating the patient interface for use particularly in spectroscopy applications. The patient interface includes a concave region and first and second convex regions. A wing extends from the concave region to help locate the patient interface properly. The convex regions provide additional adhesion support, particularly when used on the thenar eminence. The patient interface may be placed in a number of locations on a patient to determine an optimum location for measurement prior to affixing the interface to the patient.11-19-2009
20090009910METHOD OF ALIGNING COMPONENTS FOR INSTALLATION ON A HEAD SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY - A head suspension for supporting a head slider over a storage media in a dynamic storage device is provided with a head suspension component having a spring metal layer, an electrically conductive layer and a dielectric layer interposed between the metal layer and the electrically conductive layer. A plurality of electrically conductive traces with bond pads are formed in the electrically conductive layer. A feature datum is also formed in the electrically conductive layer on a detachable carrier strip. The feature datum defines a first edge in the electrically conductive layer parallel to an edge of the bond pads.01-08-2009
20080273269DISK DRIVE HEAD SUSPENSION FLEXURES HAVING ALTERNATING WIDTH STACKED LEADS - An integrated lead flexure for a disk drive head suspension of the type having a plurality of stacked leads disposed on separate layers, the plurality of stacked leads extending between terminal connector pads and head connector pads, comprising stacked lead pairs having opposing and regularly alternating wider and narrower portions, respectively.11-06-2008
20080273266INTEGRATED LEAD HEAD SUSPENSION WITH TAPERED TRACE SPACING - An integrated lead flexure for a disk drive head suspension, comprising two or more spaced-apart traces extending between terminal connector pads and head connector pads, wherein the spacing between the traces substantially continuously decreases along at least a portion of the length of the traces.11-06-2008
