| 20110241610 | BATTERY CHARGER, BATTERY CHARGING CIRCUITS, AND SEMICONDUCTOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT DEVICES - There is provided a battery charging technique by which various battery charging control can be achieved even when power consumption of a battery is small. In a battery charger, in order not to turn OFF a power switch even when an ACG starting detection circuit recognizes that an output of a generator is not generated in a state in which the power consumption of the battery is small and the voltage of the battery is not dropping, a voltage of the battery in addition to phase terminal signals of a three-phase alternating-current generator is inputted to the ACG starting detection circuit, and the ACG starting detection circuit controls not to turn OFF the power switch when the output of the three-phase alternating-current generator is generated or when the voltage of the battery is equal to or higher than a predetermined voltage. | 10-06-2011 |
| 20100005414 | DISPLAY METHOD AND DISPLAY DEVICE - The composition mentioned hereinafter has been chosen to enable switching over the window targeted for manipulation by manipulating an arrow key, in case a subwindow which can be manipulated with a free cursor is present inside a main window which can be manipulated with a block cursor. In a state in which subwindow is focused during manipulation of main window, there is a switchover, by detection of lapse of a fixed time T, to manipulation of subwindow. In addition, in a state in which the free cursor is present in a border portion of subwindow during manipulation of subwindow, there is a switchover to main window as a result of detection of any one of: manipulation of key in the subwindow outward direction, pressing of key for a fixed time in the subwindow outward direction, and lapse of a fixed time T. | 01-07-2010 |
| 20090166150 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISCRIMINATING DOCUMENTS - In a discrimination apparatus of the invention, a banknote or another paper as an object of discrimination is irradiated with ultraviolet radiation from an array of multiple ultraviolet-emitting LEDs. The ultraviolet radiation passes through a visible radiation block filter and is focused onto a preset site of the banknote by a lens. Multiple photodiodes are used to measure the transmitted light of ultraviolet radiation and the fluorescence, which is excited by the ultraviolet radiation from the banknote. The discrimination apparatus of the invention discriminates counterfeit banknotes from genuine banknotes, based on the observed pattern of the transmitted light over a preset range of the banknote. The technique of the invention desirably enhances the accuracy of discrimination in the discrimination apparatus that discriminates counterfeit banknotes from genuine banknotes. | 07-02-2009 |
| 20090149295 | VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS AND VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH THE CONTROL APPARATUS - This invention provides a vehicle control apparatus constructed so that during the control of a downshift for deceleration, braking shocks can be reduced and the amount of energy regenerated can be increased, and a hybrid vehicle equipped with the control apparatus. | 06-11-2009 |
