20090111557 | Game of Chance - A video slot game is described that increases a multiplier associated with each active pay line of the game independently of the multipliers associated with other pay lines of the game. Each line multiplier acts to multiply the winnings based on that particular line only. A multiplier for a particular line may be incremented for a current spin based on a wager outcome on that line in an immediately previous spin. A line multiplier may continue to increase as long as the player continues to win on that line. The increased line multiplier may have the side effect of acting as an incentive for a player to keep playing the game of chance, so as not to leave an unused line multiplier for another player. According to one variation, if the player does not win on a particular line, then the multiplier associated with that particular line may revert to a default level. | 04-30-2009 |
20090088242 | GAME OF CHANCE - A game system and method includes a symbol area having a plurality of symbols in a first orientation. The symbols in one or more pay lines may be compared to predefined payout patterns to determine a first payout. The symbols area and corresponding plurality of symbols may then be rotated to a second orientation or configuration. In the second orientation/configuration, the symbols in the one or more pay lines may be compared again to the predefined payout patterns to determine a second payout. Alternatively or additionally, a pay line and/or a payout pattern may change in response to the rotation. Rotation might only be activated if a rotation symbol is included in the plurality of symbols in the symbol area and/or in particular position in the symbol area. A player might also be permitted to pay for the ability to rotate the symbol area. | 04-02-2009 |
20080305852 | Card Game - A card game and video gaming system includes a matrix of card positions in addition to cards dealt for a player's hand. The player may select betting lines or line paths in the matrix to play and set a wager for the selected line paths. Line paths may include a variety of line configurations including rows and/or columns of the matrix. One or more cards may be selected for retention from the player's hand and combined with cards in each of the selected line path of the matrix to form patterns. The matrix may activate card positions or cards depending on line path selections as well as a number of cards selected for retention. A payout may be determined based on the number of patterns formed as well as the type of patterns. | 12-11-2008 |
20080220839 | Slot Gaming Devices and Methods - Methods and systems for providing a video slot machine game of chance are provided herein. A video slot machine may use M-reels to play an N-reel game, where M>N, or may use any field of play larger than necessary to determine a payout outcome of the game. For example, nine reels may be used to play a multi-line five reel video slot game. The reels may be selected by an N-reel wide frame that slides back and forth over the available reels. In some embodiments, reels on one side of the screen pay at a higher rate than reels on the other side of the screen, or pay rates of reels gradually increase or decrease from one end of the visually displayed reels to the other. Optional bonus modes may take advantage of all M reels, e.g., by sliding the frame across the reels without respinning the reels and recalculating pay lines, by providing free spins with the frame locked in place, and/or by moving the frame to a highest paying position for one or more free spins. | 09-11-2008 |
