20100051530Flexible Filter With Continuously Extruded Profile Frame - A filter pack is formed of a pleated filter section and a channel that forms a frame. The filter section may be formed of a non-woven polymer material which has been pleated. The filter section may have edge banding along at least a portion of its periphery. The filter section may be retained in the frame by an adhesive. One or more filter sections may be combined to form a filter pack. The frame may be continuously formed from an extruded plastic which may be folded to provide a one, two, three or four part frame. The frame may be provided with living hinge and mechanical locking features. A foldable edge band may be provided to allow the joining of multiple filter sections into larger filter packs.03-04-2010
20100011562NON-WOVEN WITH SELECTED LOCATIONS/REGIONS OF JOINED FIBERS FOR MECHANICAL ATTACHMENT - In a first embodiment, the present disclosure is directed at a non-woven fabric, which provides, at selected locations, the ability to mechanically and releasably join with a hook fastener. The non-woven web may include entangled fibers which have been overprinted with dots, lines or designs to create defined locations of joined fibers which may engage with a corresponding hook profile. The print material may include thermoplastic and thermoset binder systems. The binder systems may include a gas expanding substrate (e.g. gas-filled microspheres) which may provide a relatively thicker location for joining with the corresponding hook engaging material.01-21-2010
20090297809DRYER SHEETS INCLUDING BICOMPONENT FIBERS - A dryer sheet substrate is provided having improved loft and reduced fuzz wherein the substrate comprises relatively low denier bicomponent fibers. The bicomponent fibers may comprise two or more polymers having different melting temperatures, with the relatively lower melting temperature polymer making up at least a portion of the outer surface of the fiber. Upon heating to a sufficient temperature, the lower melting temperature fibers may soften and melt, providing bonding at crossover points of the fibers in the laid web. The web indicates advantageous characteristics with respect to thickness (loft), fuzz factor and ability to absorb a fabric treating composition.12-03-2009
20080313873Highloft needlepunched nonwovens - The present disclosure relates to a highloft needlepunched fabric wherein said fabric may be formed by needlepunching a web at a penetration density of less than or equal to about 150 penetrations per square centimeter and a penetration depth of about 5-20 mm, wherein the needles are spaced apart 5 mm or greater.12-25-2008
