20100219586QUICK RELEASE BELLOW SEAL GUARD - A quick release bellow seal guard for use with a shaft assembly having a first guard member having an open central region and a second guard member releasably coupled to the first guard member also having an open central region. The first guard member further includes a wall extending from a base portion to a distal end. The second guard member further includes a proximal end releasably coupled to the distal end of the first guard member to collectively define an interior guard volume. The quick release bellow seal guard further includes a seal member sealingly engaging at least one of the first guard member and the second guard member and further sealingly engaging the shaft assembly. The seal member is positioned within the interior guard volume.09-02-2010
20090314103TORQUE MEASURING DEVICE WITH REDUNDANT TORQUE TRANSMISSION PATHS AND FAIL-SAFE MECHANISM - A torque transferring and monitoring device includes a coupling having a hub portion, a first rim portion, a first set of spokes radially extending between the hub portion and the first rim portion, a second rim portion spaced apart from the first rim portion and a second set of spokes radially extending between the hub portion and the second rim portion. The second set of spokes are axially spaced apart from the first set of spokes. A plurality of pins are fixed to the first rim portion. Each pin has a portion positioned in an aperture formed in the second rim portion. The pin is clear of the second rim portion when the coupling is in an unloaded state. The pin engages the second rim portion to transfer load between the first and second rim portions when a torque exceeding a predetermined magnitude is transferred through the coupling.12-24-2009
20080235933MECHANISM FOR MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING BEARING - A mechanism and method for locking a bearing to a shaft includes a split sleeve and a receptive flange adapted to be fixed to the bearing. A positioning flange is coupled to the split sleeve. A screw extends through the positioning flange and threadingly engages the receptive flange. Rotation of the screw in a first direction axially drives the sleeve into engagement with the bearing to collapse the split sleeve into engagement with the shaft.10-02-2008
