The seam includes a series of breakable stitches having a first stitch adjacent a pocket and the series of stitches successively disposed along the axis away from the pocket. A seam ripper is received in the pocket, and secured remote from the tether. Deployment of the inflatable cushion pulls the seam ripper along the axis away from the attachment end to successively break the series of stitches.10-14-2010
20100258656MEANS FOR ALIGNING AND PRE-STRESSING COMPONENTS OF A FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine, the fuel injector being of a type with an open-ended nozzle body adjoining an injector body. The interface between the nozzle body and the injector body is flat, to simplify manufacture, and they are aligned relative to each other using a compression element which is typically a sleeve that extends around them. The compression element also acts to apply a pre-compression to at least one of the bodies to enable the fuel injector to operate at higher fuel pressures than would otherwise be possible.10-14-2010
20100258489PURGING ASSEMBLY FOR A FILTER HOUSING - A purging assembly for a fuel filter housing. The purging assembly comprises a shaft having towards an upper end an upper sealing element, located around the perimeter of the shaft, and having towards a lower end a lower sealing element, located around the perimeter of the shaft. A sensor is integrated with the shaft.10-14-2010
20100253535VEHICLE KEY FOB HAVING AUDIO FILE STORAGE - A key fob is provided that includes a housing, a key function operative with a vehicle ignition for allowing operation of the vehicle, and a communication link for allowing communication between the key fob and the vehicle. The key fob also includes memory storing audio files. The audio files may be downloaded or streamed to a vehicle via the communication link. The memory may further store saved audio file information, such as music identifiers, provided on board the vehicle and downloaded to the key fob upon initiation by a user.10-07-2010
20100253202Ignition Coil for Vehicle - A spark plug coil assembly has a primary core bearing primary windings and a secondary winding spool around which secondary windings are wound and in which the primary core is received. A case receives the spool with core. The entire case can be made of composite Iron to function as a magnetic return path for the core. Thick ends of the case support the ends of the core.10-07-2010
20100252653HEATED FUEL INJECTOR - A heated fuel injector includes a fuel inlet for receiving fuel, a fuel outlet for dispensing fuel from the heated fuel injector, and a heated body having an inside surface fore fluidly connecting the fuel inlet to the fuel outlet. The heated fuel injector also includes a hollow pintle shaft that is reciprocably movable within the heated body for selectively permitting and preventing the dispensing of fuel from the fuel outlet. A fuel passage is formed between the inside surface and the hollow pintle shaft such that fuel flows through the passage from the fuel inlet to the fuel outlet. The hollow pintle shaft defines a sealed chamber within the hollow pintle shaft which thereby increases the efficiency by which the heated body can heat the fuel flowing through the fuel passage.10-07-2010
20100252125AXIALLY ADJUSTABLE FILL LIMITER VENT VALVE - A fill limiter vent valve (FLVV) adapted for suspension downward into a fuel tank has upper and lower housing members having openings in their cylindrical walls cooperating to define a spill-over level for fuel into the FLVV producing float-initiated vent valve closure during a fuel fill event. The lower housing member has a latching member fixedly engageable with one or more cooperating latching features of the upper housing member in a plurality of relative axial positions; and the spill-over level is varied by relative axial movement of the housing members between those positions. Axial alignment of the latching member and the cooperating latching features is maintained by axially aligned, interacting surface features of the housing members.10-07-2010
